Can i install all 4 files at the same time and switch colors in-game ? or just 1 file (using alot to install).
I´m amazed by the work you and other moddes have done for the Mass Effect Trilogy. Can´t have been easy and i imagine , time consuming.
And players all round the world can enjoy all these beautiful graphics and other stuff for the games. Awsome.
    My deep respect.

    Hello,

First of all, thank you for your fantastic mod! It's really incredibly detailed.

However, I do have one quick question:
Why did you only put two black stripes on the shoulders? (instead of the three on the original texture or the blue parade uniform).

    Thanks again.

Excellent question, it's been 6 years and while I must have had a good reason (atleast to me) I can't say i remember now, sorry.

THIS IS WONDERFUL! My Shepard is looking sharper than an Alliance General Issue Omniblade.

At first I was really bummed I wouldn't get to use this wonderful texture since I use a replacer for the casual outfit this effects. With a bit of perseverance and a lot of computational fumbling, I manged to make my own replacer so I could use this mod.

My only problem now is Sherpard is so gosh darn sexy. I'm too busy staring at her threads to pay attention to the conversations. Ah well. Worth it.

I'm curious what you did. I am an absolute noob but there is another outfit that also replaces this outfit (for BroShep) and I'd love to use it by replacing the spacer outfit with it (or even the regular fatigues, s this is just too amazing to bother with using the normal fatigues.) I read somewhere that there is  way to easily swap these out, by replacing a certain line in the appropriate file, all of which supposedly have a four digit number to identify them. My problem is I've no clue what the codes are for the spacer outfit or normal fatigues. Is this the method you utilized? If so, could you tell me what the codes are or better yet, how/where to find them myself?

The process is somewhat complicated, but simple once you've done it once. It's been over a year since I've gone through the process, but I did take notes. Keep in mind, I altered Fem Shep so there are going to be differences as Bro Shep's textures and meshes may be in different locations. I'm going to leave the Fem Shep guide here and re-write it for Bro Shep later (I have a mid-term today and other school work). I'll update this post when I can, but it might be a while.

You'll also need the following external programs: ME3 Explorer (Version 3.0) and UDK Editor
ME3 Explorer needs to be set up properly so follow the instructions on the page to do so.

Mesh Editing for Fem Shep - Replacing vanilla Dress Blues with Buff Shep mesh and HR Fourth Casual Outfit Texture

      1.  Open ME3 Explorer's Meshplorer (Version 3.0)
      2.  Load vanilla BioG_HMF_ARM_CTH_R.pcc (located in [Game Location]\BIOGame\CookedPCConsole)
      3.  Select HMF_ARM_CTHi_MDL (This is the vanilla female Combat Fatigue Mesh)
      4.  Open the "Transfer" tab and select "Export to PSK" (This puts it in a format UDK can read)
      5.  Now open "UDK Editor"
      6.  Select "Import" from the lower left corner of the window which begins on start-up
      7.  Import the psk file you created and name as you see fit
      8.  Save as a "upk" file to desired location
      9.  Open pcc file you want to edit in Meshsplorer (i.e. Buff Shepard Tank version of BioG_HMF_ARM_CTH_R.pcc)
      10. Select HMF_ARM_CTHa_MDL (This the female Dress Blues mesh)
      11. Make sure "LOD 0" is checked under the "LOD" tab.
      12. Open the "Transfer" Tab and Select "Import from "UDK" (It accepts upk files, don't worry)
      13. In the new window, open the "file" tab and select "Open UDK Package"
      14. load the upk you created
      15. Click on the "0:CombatFatigue..." in the left pane (It'll be whatever you name the file)
      16. Click on the "LOD 0" in the right pane
      17. Click on "Import LOD" and wait (It may look like it is not doing anything, but it is)
      18. It'll either say "Done!" in another pop-up window or seemingly not respond
      19. After a while it is safe to exit the window and usually the changes will apply themselves
      20. Double check to see if the mesh applied correctly (you may have to click another mesh and then the desired one
      for it to load)
      21. TADA! you're pcc mesh edit is done and ready to apply.

****Apply pcc file as you would any other pcc mod*****

***Do this next part after ALOT is installed***

      !!!!WARNING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
!! Apply these texture files to ONE PCC FILE ONLY!!!!
!! Check only desired pcc file before saving changes!!!!
!! You may have to vanilla your game if you screw this up!!!!
      !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
      >>>>>>>>CHECK ONLY ONE PCC BOX >>>>>> ...BIOGame>CookedPCConsole>...> BIOG_HMF_ARM_CTH_R.pcc

      1.  Open ME3 Explorer's Texplorer
      2.  Open "BIOG_HMM_ARM_CTH_R" and select the "CTHA" subfolder and then the "AllianceNavy" subfolder
      3.  You'll be replacing the diff, norm, and spec files with the you're prefered textures
      4.  I'm currently using Ottemis' HR (Blue Version) textures
      5.  Select the file in Texplorer and click the "Change" button which appears down below
      6.  Navigate to, and select, the desired texture and apply
      7.  Select the replaced texture in Texplorer and click the PCC tab in the right pane
      8.  Uncheck everything except the files ending with "BIOG_HMf_ARM_CTH_R"
      9.  Repeat fo the remaining 2 files
      8.  Repeat steps 3-9 for the files under "BIOG_HMf_ARM_CTH_R">"CTHA">"COUNCIL"
      10.  Select "Save Changes" when finished
      11. WOOT! The textures are applied.

      Important Notes:

      1. You are limited to using clothing meshes with the same number of bones as the mesh you are replacing.

      2. Textures for the female Dress Blues is located in BioG_HMM_ARM_CTH_R which is odd as that typically contains
male textures. It does not appear to effect any male Dress Blue Textures, thankfully. It does however effect Brooks'
outfit after the Citadel DLC intro mission. Not sure how to fix except to revert textures back to default for
the first part of the mission and then apply desired combat fatigue texture after starting the casino mission.

Greetings Ottemis! I've used your mod in the past and it is absolutely gorgeous. I love the detail,  how the white parts look WHITE and not a washed out dull grey. Everything, actually, looks like a uniform that while having seen some action, has been very well cared for. The base game version looks like crap compared to yours. My favorite is the blue, but they are all lovely.

Recently, I have started a new play-through, and I ran into an issue with other mods that required a fresh install of the game to fix. Which, of course, required new installs of the mods I use. This brings me to why I am writing. I am having trouble getting the the Hi-Rez Blue version to install. I use ME3Explorer. I always analyze first, then 'install valid.' Before, it would show 8/8 valid images, then after installing, 8/8 valid mods installed. Now, however, it claims some of the images are not valid (something like 7/8, no big deal) but after installing, it started saying, 5/7 installed, now it is at 3/7 installed. Upon checking in game (at 5/7 and 3/7) the Hi-Rez blue is not showing, just base game. This is on a clean install with no other mods showing. Also, it should be noted that I deleted the old files and redownloaded the mod, just in case the files had somehow been corrupted, with the same results.

I am planning to try the black version, to see what happens, in case it is an issue with that version of the mod. I will update with results. Either way, is there anything you recommend I should do? I really love this mod and want to continue to use it. I noted that this mod can also be installed with the Texsplorer tool. However, when I followed the link to the location of the mod, it was an unsecure site, which made me very leery of downloading anything from it.

EDIT: Update, as promised. I received the same results with the Hi-Rez Black version also. My assumption is I will garner the same results should I test the remaining two. I should also note that I also use your Hi-Rez Dress Blues, Hi-Rez Science Uniforms, and Hi-Rez Combat Fatigues mods. I have had a similar issue with the Hi-Rez Dress Blues, though, to date, I've had no problems with the latter two mods. I should also mention that I found I did have Tex Mod already and discovered the reason why I never used it; I am not technologically inclined in the least, and as simple as the instructions for getting it to work with ME3 may seem to many, for me they were far too complicated. Then again, anything much beyond drag and drop is. Also, the instructions mentioned a .rar file that contained two separate .exe files, and those I cannot locate. Any assistance would be appreciated. Though, at this point I am ready to attempt using the ALOT installer to see if that works, and if not, to simply go without. Which saddens me, as I really love this mod.

EDIT 2: GOOD NEWS! Applying the mods with the ALOT Installer seems to have worked- for all four mods! If you are still monitoring this mod, I;d recommend amending the installation instructions to include ALOT rather than ME3Explorer, which seems to be broken.

Hey, glad to see you sorted out the issue. I haven't been keeping up with development on the me3explorer front, as the most up to date versions are (as far as i know) forks from the original and not developed by the same people. As such, i have no idea what they have done with regards to the install method. I do not support A.L.O.T. or MEM directly for personal reasons but am aware installation with MEM is possible. I do check my comment sections regularly but was on vacation so wasn't online to help you, sorry.

Just quick question, do i need to make some changes in the ini files to have best possible quality and performance of your textures (4k)? I am also concerned about game stability, if i load to many texture mods frough texmod. I am replaying whole trilogy again, but first time with mods so i kinda new with instalation of them etc. ;p

Hello Ottemis, I hope you will get this message.
I have tried several times to add this mod using ME3Explorer. The male Shep is fine and looks great. But, when I open up a femShep game, the Casual Outfit will not work. Femshep looks like she is wearing cut up pieces of the Outfit. Is there something I am missing about the FemShep version of the Outfit?Be most grateful for your advice.

    Thank you.

Did you at any point install a mesh and texture mod that replaces femsheps intro outfit? That would cause the texture to look 'cut up' as you'd still have your previously installed alternative outfit mesh, with textures that belong to the original mesh, so the texture wrap would be wrong.

    Hello Ottemis,
I'm thinking about using them for Ashley; what do you think, would it be possible by only replacing the textures?
    Thnx a lot.

I've done this for Getorex back in the day. The specmap needed changes for the new mesh-slot and materials that came with it.

Hey Ottemis, no idea if you'll be able to respond here, but, this is one of the few texture mods causing completely black textures for me when installed using the latest (Apirl 2016) version of ME3-Explorer. Any idea what to do?

I don't know which mods you're referring to. If you'll show them to me I can tell you if they'd conflict or not =)
Generally: Worst case they replace the same stuff, just make sure you load your preferred mods higher in Texmod, or install them last using ME3Explorer.
