ME1Controller (https://www.nexusmods.com/masseffect/mods/60).

Остальное выходит за рамки этой модификации.

I wonder... how well would this work if I was using A.L.O.T., uninstalled it mid-playthrough, installed this, and installed A.L.O.T. again?

Depends entirely on whether or not they use the same file. If they do then this would override what ever changes the other mod made.

As far as I'm aware, it's been awhile since I've played, the changes do not require a new game to function.

Alright, thanks for the reply. I may not end up downloading this mod, but it seems really, really great.

Seems to be incompatible with the controller mod since they both edit the same file

Check the Compatibility section of the description or the Read Me, they're both the same. This modification was created using the ME1Controller v1.2.2 files. As long as you install this one after that one you should be fine.

You know, I thought about your comment and I think you're right. I just uploaded a new version with the original grenade & Medi-Gel limits.

Love the mod, thank you! As a suggestion, could you add the path to the folder in the description? I copied my files in Mass Effect/BioGame/Config the first time and it didn't work, didn't realize I need to copy the files into the config in my documents until I read the comments. Would make life easier for future downloaders! Cheers!

Thank you for this mod. I always thought it was silly that you'd get less XP for an enemy just because you came with bigger guns. I guess they could argue that you aren't getting the experience taking down said enemy as a squad in which case they should have implemented a leveling system for the Mako. I also hated being so limited to things like medical items. The rest of the changes are a bonus because I am a bit of a hoarder in RPG's

I did notice one thing that changed that I wasn't expecting. The mako now turns by using the mouse, the turret and the body are no longer separate. I didn't see anything in the description and I have only installed this mod so I wanted to make sure it was something this mod changed in the config before attempting to try to change it back. I'm going to try and dig through the config file myself but if you can point me to the right part of the file I would be forever grateful. It's not a bad change but I do prefer having separate control over the body and the turret.

    *EDIT*
Well I found the line, thought life was solved but after editing m_bUseCameraRelativeInputForVehicle=TRUE to say FALSE, all the XP went back to normal. Any idea what I screwed up?

This modification uses the same files as ME1Controller, so I'm going to assume that's causing the issue. The line that affects vehicle experience is m_fVehicleExpScaleFactor.

I had the same issue. I also tried editing m_bUseCameraRelativeInputForVehicle to FALSE. Oddly enough, when run the game, the m_fVehicleExpScaleFactor line reverts to =0.4 instead of being 1.0 that this mod sets it to. It also undid everything else the mod does (e.g. medi-gel and grenades return to a base of 5). any thoughts?

Might have to set the relevant files to read only.

You could always edit the included files to make the game harder- never hurts to have more options when it comes to mods.

Same. In BIOGame.ini there's m_fInsanityEnemyDamageReduction = 0.5 that you can always change to 0.25 or whatever. That will make enemies more tanky, but i'd rather they did more damage instead. With m_fHenchDamageResistance you can make your squadmates take more damage but I've found no way to make Shepard take more damage.

EDIT: I have since just found where you can edit this part of the game and have done so manually. Without the files of this mod, though, I would have never figured it out lul

I seem to have more than one Config folder...

      Which one do I use?

Do I have to remove/edit any files?

Does it only work on new playthroughs, or will it work on a character halfway through the game?

The mod is compatible with your current saves, you don't need to start a new game, it also works with Dybuk's ME1Controller mod (which I'm also using). You use the files that you download from this mod to replace the "BIOGame" and "BIOParty" files found in Mass Effect's Config folder, there is no manual editing of files require. The way I went about getting to my Config folder was: This PC > Documents > BioWare > Mass Effect > Config. Also make sure all of the files in the Config folder are set to "read only" in their properties. This is so the game doesn't rewrite the files when you boot up the game thus nullifying the mod.

I believe on set of the config files is labeled as default- in the game folder if I'm not mistaken. You should not be editing these ones.
