I believe the game checks for the relevant achievement- so no it will not. This only unlocks the achievements that allow for bonus talents during character creation.
However, if you want to unlock the achievement that will remove the level cap you can use the console.
First of all, thanks for taking the time to mod such an excellent game.
Second, and to my actual point. In the post I am replying to (which asks whether your mod allows for the past 50 leveling) you give some solid follow up advice about using the Console to give yourself the appropriate achievement.
My question therefore is whether I could simply use the Console Commands to give all the achievements I wanted to for a fresh play-through instead of using this mod?
I mean I like mods but the less of them I have installed the less chance of any conflicts.
In order to get the achievement related starting gear you'd need to play through the extra campaigns out of order. With this modification your profile has all the achievements unlocked and thus any character you make will have that gear. That's the sole point of this.
If you want to have the starting gear and earn all the achievements just delete profile.dap after you make your character- this will reset all the achievement progress. Just keep in mind that making additional characters you would not gain the achievement related starting gear unless you unlocked those achievements.
This is pretty cool. I'm doing a reboot of my original Canon (with a few changes including class and dialogue options), and I don't want to be forced to using biotics as a bonus if I don't want them.
The achievements are unlocked via console commands and then saved with the profile. So, you can either use the file provided (Which by necessity has the settings I use.) or you can use the console commands yourself. I would think changing the few settings you don't like would be faster then typing in a bunch of console commands- but it's up to you.
OOOHH, so all the extra features were actually just settings that can be changed in-game? So if I load this profile, I can just change the settings myself and still retain the achievement unlocks? That makes sense, haven't played ME1 in a while lol, I'll do this when I get back to it. Cheers mate! :D
I suppose I could have provided a file with the default settings. It didn't occur to me when I read your post that that's what you were getting at. But I mostly mod for myself and am just now getting around to uploading all the mods I've made over the years.
But yes, you can change any of those settings within the game. And if you should ever want to reset all of the achievements you can, of course, just delete the file- which would also set all the settings to default.

I went and unlocked them all, because I beat the game enough times on Xbox to accommodate the guilt that I'd otherwise receive for cheating :D

Thanks in advance for any response.
