You can just delete the 3 videos and the game will go right to the start screen.

Weirdly, even removing the files (and others as suggested in the Wikia), didn't remove the BioWare intro (the red, flashy one). With these, it's gone.

Could someone please repackage these correctly for use with ME3Tweaks Mod Manager, which apparently didn't exist when this was published?  ME3TMM takes one look at the RAR file and says "nope, this ain't a mod"....

So.. why replacing files when you can just rename/delete/move them altogether ?

And why you included Mass_Effect_Logo_Movie.bik which RUINS every new playthrough?

I didn't try to remove them, because it could cause problems (pure speculations).
I didn't run any new playthrough since I "created" the "mod", can you be a bit more specific ?

I don't think intro videos are ever displayed/used after you have started the game.

Besides, I'm saying that you even included extra files, that remove the planet shown in the end of the introductory scene

@mirhl: You are correct. The issue is now fixed in my 1.1 upload, thank you and sorry for not looking into it earlier.

When I first downloaded this it worked fine, but when I donwloaded it now the game is missing the Mass Effect logo after character creation, and the sound of the whole scene is screwed up. I didn't backup my files because the first time there wasn't any problem. My question is why did you changed that video, and also can you upload the originals files too?

Thank you for the heads up, it is indeed an error from my part, I've uploaded the blank videos only for the game startup now, new games shouldn't have any problem!

To get the original files, simply do the following :
      1) In Steam, from the Library section, right-click on the game and select Properties from the menu.
      2) Select the Local files tab and click the Verify integrity of game cache... button.
      3) Steam will verify the game's files - this process may take several minutes.

Or you can just delete the intro files. It works just fine. Consider backing it up first.

Yes, but that doesn't always work as intended. Even if the video files are deleted, some games' config files will still call for a video to be played. So you'll "skip" the videos, but will see a black screen for the duration those videos would have originally played. Sometimes you do actually have to overwrite files with "blank" replacements to get around this issue.

Granted, that isn't the case for every game. But simply deleting the files shouldn't be used as a rule-of-thumb, because of the aforementioned issue. If it works for you, that is fantastic, as it is indeed simpler to just delete them. But some people would rather not run the risk.

I'm having difficulty locating the bioengine.ini file. Im playing through Origin and it is not located in the location you listed. Any suggestions?

Origin game files can be found in "Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\". After that, the directories should be the same, i.e. "Mass Effect\CookedPC".

Thank you for the "minimalistic" approach! Tested in Windows 10 with Flawless Widescreen in Ultrawide. I have to wait 24 hours (beep boom...beep boom) to endorse

Works fine for me. I always hated having to sit through the Bioware, Demiurge Studios and EA logo videos. With this mod I can just get straight to the start screen!

@SilverAxe001;  There is a "ME1 Mod Talk" forum.   Please use it instead of spamming every other ME1 mod topic with this request.

    There's nothing like that.

Also, again why there's still this meaningless -almost harmful- mod around?
