It seems that MEUITM and FPS Counter are really the only graphical mods for 'ME1' (I think FPS Counter prevents you from installing ENB/SweetFX, MassFX, ReShade, etc), so seeing another mod to make the game prettier is fantastic.
I have tried seven times to get this installed with MEM and MEUITM. I have strange black blobs when using sniper rifles on enemies. Supposedly this has something to do with missing textures of an incorrect installation, but I have determined the actual problem is the MEUITM and MET-SR1 mods are only compatible if you install MEUITM WITHOUT the *.tpf files (or converted *.mem files) for the "Light and Shadow Maps" and "Film Grain" parts of that mod.
MEM won't let me even open ME files because I have some mod that shortens elevators sequences. (A dick move which should be advertised in either the mod page or the MEM itself, but whatever.) Is there any other way to install these? I know about Texmod, but that one doesn't actually install the textures...
Yes, you must first install these textures using MEM and also MEUITM (the .tpf version, convert it to .mem and install) on a vanilla version and then the elevator mod. Basically the textures first and then other things. It might not work though, for I know the controller mod breaks the game with MEM.
Errr... yes, but I meant "Is there any other way to install these?" I can't install them due to MEM not willing to do so with Faster Elevators already in, and I don't have backups of the files it changes because nowhere does it say it can and will break further texture modding via MEM. Texmod does not install the textures, it just "plugs" them over the originals whenever you fire it up, so I am looking for an alternative.
If you want to use MEUITM and this mod without MEM you'll have to install all the MEUITM tpf files with ME3explorer and then this after also with ME3Explorer
Nope, you need to install both MEUITM and this using MEM. If you already have MEUITM, you must reinstall the game. MEM IS COMPATIBLE with both the Controller Mod (use the normal folder, not the "MEUITM" one) and Faster Elevators Mod. As I said, just convert the .tpf files to .mem and install.
Great job on those textures. It's amazing how you managed to increase the quality of them without altering the original style of the interior. Everything still looks the same - but better.
I've spotted ain incorrectly applied texture seen on image "met sr1 18". It's the computer screen with the word "sector" on it. The original texture was applied the wrong way round already. With your mod this could be fixed easily. It should be turned upside down to be displayed the right way round.
@Genesoup: exactly, that console texture is applied the wrong way around. Do not ask me why... but the guys at BW use to follow some misterious paths many often...
I get your point about how to fix such vanilla bug but I´m afraid that´s not so easy because I´m not 100% certain that texture is not re-used anymore but on the Normandy. So flipping the texture -or just the tiny display on that console- might fix it for the SR1 but that could be breaking the very same texture elsewhere in the game.
Most probably, the simplest fix could be replacing the word "Sector" with any other that could be flipped or mirrored successfuly. Best choice here a "random" serial containing some letters and numbers. If we had MHW 0608, when flipped, we should have WHM 0908.
If you think that could do the trick for you and you wanted to give it a try to such custom texture, just let me know. That only would require to do a simple mod on the Diff texture.
But, for now, I will keep current texture in mod as is. BTW, those very same console textures were also re-used in ME2 and ME3 and these here are already included in both A.L.O.T. mods.
You thought things trough very well. Unless ME uses a central texture database adjusting this one texture shouldn't the other copies. Since you worked on those texture replacements you should have a much insight on that than I do so I'll leave this to your talented hands what to do next. The original texture was clear enough to notice that it's upside down and I didn't notice it in-game. I'm fine with keeping it that way if fixing it would mess something else up instead.
I have to admit that until I saw that screenshot I wasn't even that aware of the console.
