The "Skip Intro Movies" download will do just what it says, and start the game at the "Press Any Key To Start" screen. It also gets rid of all that ugly text on the bottom.
The "Skip to Main Menu" download starts the game at the main menu. Unfortunately, this causes what I think is a default texture to be displayed on screen for a couple frames. It's a little ugly, but if you want the fastest startup, you'll have to deal with it.
Installation:
Replace Mass Effect\BioGame\CookedPC\Maps\EntryMenu.SFM with the downloaded file. Backup the original first, in case you don't like what this mod does.
Compatibility:
If you are using Dybuk's ME1Controller mod, install the files marked as ME1Controller instead.
