I can't control it with the keys when driving if I can stear it with moving the mouse like what this mod does I would have MUCH more control and can drive a LOT easier. So can you please make this mod for ME2 or point me to the mod that does what this one does if it already exist?
Short version: I cannot help right now, but will keep it mind if possible in the future.
Longer version: The last time I played these games, which was some years ago, was with Dybukk's controller mods (which I highly recommend if you have a gamepad, by the way; these games were made for controllers IMO). I probably only did one KBM playthrough of ME2 earlier, so couldn't currently recall Hammerhead control issues. If/when I install ME2 again, I can take a look at the config files and check whether a similar mod could be doable, but it isn't going to be soon.
Also, I don't know whether the Legendary Edition might offer an alternate control scheme for the Hammerhead as well, as I think it does so for the Mako. Maybe someone who knows could chip in?
Oh OK please do try to and at least the hammerhead is in overlord and firewalker only..I think also I don't have LE yet as several mods need to be made to work for it and one to be recreated as the mod's author took it down completely to try to keep anyone from making it work for LE (which is wrong selfish and childish in my opion) so I am waiting for the mods...and for it to go on sale.
Hey, I haven't even tried the LE as yet, so even if I could help, it could be a long way off. I recall reading some discussion around how camera-relative input for the Mako is now an option in the settings? Certain custom button mappings could still need manual modding, depending upon the available key binding options; not sure how far the 'Manual mod instructions' in this mod's Description still correspond?
Just figured id put this here in case anyone runs into the same problem i did. If you bought the game through origin some of the files are changed. from Biogame and Bioimput into defaultgame and defaultimput.
Are you sure about that? The 'Config' folder that matters here is the one under "Documents" (that is, Documents -> BioWare -> Mass Effect -> Config), not the 'Config' folder under your installed "Origin Games" path (which contains files that won't ordinarily affect the in-game experience).
If you have a clean installation of Mass Effect, the game will need to be run once without mods to generate the 'Config' folder and those 'Bio'-prefixed files, which can then be modded.
Having a bit of trouble. I installed the mod and it worked great, BUT you changed the controls of the on ground player when out of the Mako. When I go to change them back to what I'm used to the Mako no longer "unzooms" when you release the right mouse key. What did you change in the BIOGame.ini to make it so that you unzoom when releasing the right mouse button? I've compared the default BIOGame with the one in the mod and just can't find it. Everything else it working fine but that part.
Hey Rettznom, as mentioned in the description, the mod can only be applied directly to a default control scheme.
To apply it to your custom control setup, first restore your backed up original BIOInput and BIOGame files, then take a look at the 'Manual mod instructions' section in the description. That will show you exactly what tweaks I have made to the default BIOGame and BIOInput files, which you can then adapt to use with whatever controls you prefer.
This is how the Mako should work. I have always hated the default PC configuration (clunky, over responsive - like a ping-pong ball on steroids). this smoothed out the movement and gave much more control. Little bit of a learning curve after having spent about 1000 hours on ME over the last 4 years, but really, really worth the effort. KUDOS.
It's such a simple tweak, I wondered whether Demiurge might have just forgotten to enable it before shipping, but since the game was patched a few times without it, who knows?
Hm, an interesting setup, to be sure, I use the right click for the cannon, and mouse wheel for zooming up and down, E for the Thrusters. I'll probably take the mouse movements to use in conjunction with my current setup.

can you make it work in Legendary Edition?
Thx

There's a small learning curve, but once you get a grip on the physics, I believe the defaults in that scheme are reasonably usable.
Keep at it, you'll eventually conquer the buttered walrus!
