I think you need to make the textures brighter to be more accurate to how it looked in the game. From experience when i used to mod Spider-Man 2 the extracted texture files were pretty dark but the lighting engine made them i think 50% brighter in game if i remember well which forced me to make my custom suit textures much darker after finishing the painting process to avoid them looking too bright in game and ruining the colors.
This is just an advice by the way, i know raimi related mods often get annoying comments when it comes to accuracy so i wanted to clarify that i'm not losing my mind at it or anything, it's still a pretty cool mod.
