And yet again, you release a mod that I have wished for for the longest time... you are a rockstar of the modding community, friend!
If you're taking requests and if it's within your skillset, here's my by far biggest gripe:
I've noticed a severe bias in the card draw in combat (i.e. the cards you get on turn start & redraw) that leads to 80 - 90% of all cards being drawn not being Hunter cards, but only ever for the two other heroes in the squad.
This is supremely annoying to me, and so far I've not seen any mod to address this, so you could fill a pretty big gap there... ideally a mod that would give us at least a fair 33/33/33% chance, or (for my personal preference) preferable a 50% Hunter 25/25 others ratio.
It's really annoying when you constantly only get cards for the other two heroes while the enemies are perfectly positioned for Hunter's Legendary roundhouse attack... would be a dream come true if you could make this happen. =)
I'm open to requests, but please keep in mind my modding skills are basic at best, haha. I do agree, though. I tested this mod where I changed Hunter's starting deck, and I swear I didn't get a single Hunter card for the first turns of the first mission. Crazy!
I have a list of mods I'm still working on at the moment, and then a couple to update once Storm comes out, but once I've gotten to them, I'll take a look at your request and see what I can do :)
Once more, no worries, all in due time... and if those skills of yours are "basic", well, I'm very impressed with what you managed to accomplish already! =)
Storm btw already came out yesterday... did you miss it, or is it just a timezones thing that it hasn't dropped in your neck of the world just yet?^^
I've endorsed this mod and also voted for it, as it is by far the biggest QoL improvement I've seen for this game! =)
Thank you! :) But really, it's like mostly trial and error, and it's a lot of error. I've crashed my poor game so many times, hahaha.
Sadly, it was only Storm's trailer that came out :( We won't get Storm until May 11, which actually really annoys me. That's a day before Diablo 4's Server Slam! I really want to upload and update all my mods before that.
Thank you so, so much for the endorsement and the vote! And thank you for the kudos, too! I have a feeling that was from you :)
Oh you're right with Storm... damn, these meds make it so hard to concentrate and remember, I keep missing such details all the time now.
But hey, at least it won't be much longer then... currently using Midnight Suns to pass the time while the fucked up broken mess that is Jedi Survivor (hopefully) gets patched to a working order, so I guess I'll definitely still be playing it by May 11th. =)
Yep, the Kudos was from me, and well-deserved, and I suspect thanks in return for my very first Kudos, which was from you, right? =)
No worries at all. I know what meds can be like. I hope yours aren't too bad :)
I heard about the dumpster fire PC release of Jedi Survivor. Kind of crazy how it's the PC version of games that seem to be bad now. Used to be the other way around back when I was a console player. Storm's still a week+ away, though, so I hope you get to play Jedi Survivor before that :)
Honestly wish I had someone like you in my RL, heh... people who give a crap about being kind and helpful are a true rarity these days, at least in my experience.
And yep, I also still remember the days when PC games were much more polished on release than console games, but sadly ever since PC got degraded from first development platform to port platform, we continously get bombarded with broken crap like Cyberpunk 2077 at launch, Hogwarts Legacy at launch, Jedi Survivor, etc pp.
But I'll still stick with PC, if for no other reason than amazing people like you who share their modding genius for free with the rest of us. =) Mods make every game better!
Sorry to hear about your RL situation :( That can't be easy. I hope you're managing to hold up. For me, games have always been my escape when RL is being less than kind.
Figures console gets the better releases once I switch to PC, hahaha. I remember XCOM 2 on PS4 and just how awful it was. It was so awful I couldn't finish the last mission on War of the Chosen. Game would just crash during the last mission.
I agree with you, though. We can get mods in PC! And thank you, as always <3
Heh yeah, XCOM 2 WotC is my alltime favorite turn-based strategy game, and I'd never voluntarily play that on console, because that game truly gets infinitely better with mods... be that the glorious character model mods, or the new weapons, the much more in-depth customization options, etc.
And thanks for taking so much time out of your day to interact with me, much appreciated once more! Here's hoping you or someone else will be able to figure out the whole card bias thing eventually too. =)
Got some free time before Storm comes out and decided to look into your request. I'm sorry to say I can't find the file that determines the odds of which cards are drawn into your hand :( Maybe a more experienced modder will know how to do it.
I have double good news for you, my friend from the other side of the world:
1. I just started the game after downloading the Storm DLC, and it loaded without any issues into my save state, i.e. none of your mods (so far^^) caused any issues, no crash on startup, no crash on load... that's something at least. And I can at the very least confirm that the +1000 Resource Node payout mod still works as intended, as that one I could very easily quickly test out.
2. No worries, thanks to your other mod fixing the modifier list for Upgrade Abilities, most of my Hunter Deck now has "Draw [x] Hero Card(s)" on it, so finally I get to play enough of my own cards... in fact, combined with the Legendary Perk that disables "Exhaust" for Hunter, I now am able to utterly dominate pretty much every single encounter, heh.
That's awesome! Thank you so much for confirming and letting me know :) I'll update the collectables mod description and be sure to thank you!
I'm glad my other mod helped alleviate your card draw issues! I love putting draw card mods on quick cards myself :) As a fellow Hunter main, I agree that Hunter can get really crazy strong with a right combination of card mods. I love Hunter, though, haha, so it's great!
Thanks again for confirming :) Hopefully the rest of my mods survived this patch!
Thank you EVER so much for this mod. I've gotten to the point where I tell my computer to shut up whenever those tutorials pop up at the start of the missions I've done again and again.
I'm not sure but I've the feeling that it breaks my game once in a while when I return from a mission. I(m going to try to deactivate it. But I'd like to have your opinion. Do you think it would be because of some mods conflicts for some reason? I've got a few now. Thanks for your answer.
Sorry, it sure doesn't come from your mod, but my old i5-4590 CPU 3.30GHz, I'm afraid, and, perhaps my GPU. I think it could come from a memory overload (GPU and RAM). Thx anyway.

THANK YOU!
Great mod <3
I hope your replay will be more enjoyable now on general missions :)

Yup, kudos was from me! :) Least I could do.

Will look into your request once I get through my to-do list! Or maybe a more experienced modder will do it before I do :)
It was a pleasure talking to you! :) I hope you have a good day/night.

I want to give you money, can I give you money?
I have donations enabled on my mod pages and my profile if you're feeling super kind and generous :)
You rock!
Thank you so much for the nice comment! :)
Do you think it would be because of some mods conflicts for some reason?
I've got a few now.
Thanks for your answer.
I think it could come from a memory overload (GPU and RAM).
Thx anyway.
And I'm sorry about your PC :( I hope you can keep playing the game.
