I have four files on my config Engine GameuserSettings and Hubble.ini and MachinePsoConfig.ini then the ultra potato file Scalability should I just add it like that or should I remove somthing esle also should I check on 16gb of ram compatibility mark on the game launcher wish u can do a tutorial on the newest marvel rivals version cuz m so confused, also I noticed tat game crashes on season 3, help!
I have edited the instructions. Now, by default, there are not 2, but 3 files (Hubble.ini has been added). Otherwise, the instructions remain unchanged. I didn't understand what RAM compatibility you are referring to, but there is no need to do anything additional for the mod to work, aside from what is stated in the instructions. The mod does not cause crashes, so you need to contact the game developers regarding that issue.
Hello. I am using the Ultra Potato variant of your mod as I have no need for chronovision or anything superfluous like that. I need the highest FPS I can get as I enjoy playing very competitive matches in low eternity. However, I would like to start purchasing some recolors for skins I have. Here is where my problem comes in. I am noticing some extremely distracting blocky/pixellated textures when using this mod in combination with textures set to LOW. This only occurs for skin RECOLORS (eg. default skin recolor, legendary skin recolors you can buy, Venom's orange and pink recolors, etc.)
Whenever I set the textures to MEDIUM, there is no noticeable pixellated blockiness in the textures anymore. I can confirm that this is related to your mod because I tested LOW textures with & without the mod. So, I was wondering if I would be more likely to receive better performance with your mod as is with textures set to MEDIUM, or if maybe there is 1 line that is doing this to the textures that I could just remove or at least change the value for? Then I would be able to play with textures set to LOW. Would you happen to know which line is causing that? Going to do some tinkering on my own with it right now. If I figure out which line is causing it, I'll update my comment.
EDIT: It appears to be the "r.Streaming.MipBias=5" line that is causing this to happen. I suppose I will try playing with the value lowered to 3 for now.
(TL;DR) Which option should I go for in order to strike a better balance between tolerably low graphics & higher performance?
Ultra Potato + textures increased to MEDIUM
Ultra Potato (blocky texture issue resolved) + textures set to LOW
I apologize for not responding earlier. In your case, it would be better to change the config and set textures to low. The reason is simple: when you enable medium, other texture optimization features are disabled. Also, if you're interested, by default, at low, r.Streaming.MipBias=1.
Thanks for the response! I do have another relevant question here. Are there mathematical shenanigans occurring to make r.Streaming.MipBias=4 look pretty much identical to r.Streaming.MipBias=5? I haven't compared screenshots, but I see no discernible difference between the two values. Thanks again!
(Also, I have compared setting this value to 2 VS medium textures and I gotta say the difference is negligible IMO. I'm so used to playing on terrible graphics though, so maybe that's just me. But LOW textures with MipBias on 2 feels like the highest setting I could ever argue a need for.)
Mathematically, each value is described as 2^(n-i) x 2^(n-i), where i is MipBias. If at 5 we get a texture of, say, 32x32, then at 4 it will be 64x64. The difference is clearly visible in direct comparison. I think in your case, the difference depends on your perception and "habit", as you mentioned. If you're interested in the mechanism itself, it's better to start with Wikipedia and then continue with specialized websites.
is there a way to remove the film grain underneath characters nose and on the leafs on season 1 they had an option called film grain and setting it to 0 removed the grain and ugly shadows from characters but idk after they removed the game i lost that ini that i got from a discord server im no longer in all i know it was scalability.ini also
does this work when first installing the game? my sibling's computer couldn't launch the game due to outdated GPU... I really wanted to know if it's possible to play the game with this mod on outdated gpu
