For some reason whenever i load up reshade.. My game just wont start.. When i uninstall all the reshade stuff, my game does work again.. I have barely any idea how this works either..
Load up Reshade -> Select DirectX 10/11/12 -> No idea what to do -> No idea what to do -> Select "SweetFX" files to install (Also no idea what to do here)..
Edit: After hours of trying to figure this out, i finally got it working.
Just install it during the Refshade setup installation process right? I can't quite follow your description. It just doesn't make much sense. I downloaded this defaultpreset.ini I installed Reshade (during installation I also "added" the defaultpreset.ini when it asked, no idea if that was the correct thing to do) but then you write "copy the DefaultPreset.ini content and the reshade-shaders folder to your game folder where mafiadefinitiveedition.exe is located." I have no idea what that means. Do I really need to copy the reshade-shaders folder? It's already in the game folder and it's not in this Mod download, so I guess it's just strange english and I ignored it. Then you say copy the defaultpreset.ini into the game folder where the mafia.exe is. Like, just drop it there in the middle of nowhere or into the reshade-shaders folder? And in the reshade-shaders folder there are two sub folder named 'shaders' and 'textures', do I drop it into shaders or just on top? My game now wont start and I have no idea what to do..
he does just mean drop both in the game folder. he just wrote it specifically for new users and said where the mafia.exe is. did u try to put that default.ini file into the reshade folder. i never did a preset but most mafia mods are just dropped in the game folder. i think its the reshade folders and download thats meessing up.
wow this reshade actually looks good and is not all dark and saturated. if i put brightness up will it cancel out the reshade? i never did a reshade yet because they are like i said always dark and unseeable.
What effect packages should I install? I have used True Vision and I would like to try this beautiful reshade, however, all the effect packages are unchecked except for the Standard Effects. Can anyone help?
Hi im new to using reshade, I keep getting a crash error with 0xc00000142 after I applied reshade. When i uninstall the reshade sets i can enter the game again. IDK what i did wrong
In the installation of ReShade, do you download all the reshade packages (i.e. check all the boxes for other shaders or just the first one in the list)?
Wow, for the first time I actually see ReShade mod which doesn't make my eyeballs pop from oversaturation and overcontrast! Great job at color management.
