had the game on classic difficulty before and absolutely could not win at all, but if you just switch the difficulty to easy and drive mode to simulation the race becomes 10x easier then just switch back your settings right before the finish line.
How about someone makes better driving mods that also allow you to enjoy driving in this city? 😅
Edit: Nvm.. I just messed up changing the setting driving mode: from regular to simulation. 😅 I also finished this mission with Driving mode: Simulation .... only 3x try. 😅
I bet I ran this race 12 or 13 times on normal before I realized you can change the difficulty whenever you want. On easy so long as you don't totally wipe out you'll win. I got first o the second try. My dumbass ended upside down right at the end of the first one. Better let me change it back.
The race was pretty badly designed in the original game, and nothing about DE made it better. Skipping it will allow those people who absolutely DETEST that race to skip it and continue playing. Without it those people might simply delete the game.

I must of tried like ten times yesterday, my last try was up to second place.
Was so close to winning but first racer passed the finishing line before I could.
