This MOD is brighter than my future , NOT RECOMMENDED, too bright even after you low the game brightness EDIT: dont download the DYNAMIC FX file, that the file making too bright
that is reshade, it's not a file. reshade just changes the overlay graphics and it has a bunch of effects that can be edited in game if you didn't know. with reshade, you could change brightness without getting rid of the whole thing.
I'm new to modding but i installed a mod that all so has sds_retail replacer is there a way to merge them together or would this mod juts not affect the previous thing i installed ? {sorry if i don't make senses}
you could merge them but your other mod might change the city universe file i assume because it's the most common file used in mods. you need mafiatoolkit, Releases · Greavesy1899/MafiaToolkit here's a link for it. i would explain how to use the toolkit but it would be a book on here and i don't explain things good.
hey, are you going to happen to reupload the beta 5 of mafia 2? i noticed it was deleted thankfully i have it on my mafia right now but i don't have the link. ah i guess we can't complain but i remember you telling everyone to wait for it and now it's removed completely. if you reupload it, can you you put the files loosely so we can manually install and merge it with other mods ourselves?
Ok, i appriciate your effort here author, but why didnt you include a shred of "how to install info" ? I get it, copy the sds_retail folder, but what about the hotfix / optional files you supplied? Where the hell do we place reshade-shaders, dxgi.dll, and reshade.ini ??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
A simple Google search for " hot to install reshade and it's presets" would have solved your problem and I like how you are acting entitled as if the mod author was supposed to teach you how to download reshade (which is the simplest thing ever lmoa)
yeah actually not entitled but somewhat required that they give a how to install if they do not include mod manager download even if it's simple
how would someone completely new to the modding would know it? there are some mods out there that are complex to install too it would be good if modder included a howtoinstall.txt
yea it does say no reshade and now all these comments got me all confused. im sure this install is just like the other old time reality mods for the other games.
people would say well that completely new to modding person shouldnt be downloading anything until they read the basics. ive been learning just on the way since doing mods. i hate google cause its hard to find right exact answer sometimes,especially since it seems only mafia 3 bug fixes come up when u type anything about mafia 3 lol.
It's normal practice to include a readme.txt with a mod. It's a common problem with quite a few nexus uploaders. Needs some gentle nudging from the owners of this site. Should be a rule.
it seems no one answered your question. they all go into your game folder that has the mafia 3 executable file. C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Mafia III or GOG folder if you have that one.
You're saying they deleted LOD0 file in the update process? no wonder the LOD seems off in the latest patch. I downloaded a downgrade from Steam Depot, though I don't know which files have the LOD0 files.
You copy over the sds_retail folder, it's that simple, make sure to copy the original files in case you don't like the result so you can revert easily!
i cant never find this answer but if i just copy the files ina certain folder and paste to the desktop. will those be separate from the original files. as in backed up? im sure it does but wanna make sure cause ive done this but never had to put original files back yet. (EDIT) im seeing this again now and cant believe i wrote that, it was when i first started playing pc games.
