    This is an amazing mod and should have been included in the base game. Thanks for creating it. 

    I wanted the navigation (turn by turn signs) gone. Then I stumbled onto this and it cleaned up the entire HUD. I wanted to keep some elements like you posted in a previous comment:

    • hud_radar.gfx - replace with the original version to re-add the radar
    • hud_inventory.gfx - replace with the original version to re-add the inventory

    Hey cowlick, can you tell me which files I need to look at to turn off the enemy awareness meters and the world objective marker? Those are the only things that are still bothering me now that the radar is gone. I actually quite like the navigational arrows on the corners and feel like they are plenty to get me where I'm going, so I just want to strictly go off that and the map screen.

      If there's something I didn't disable it's because doing so caused crashes. I can specifically remember this being the case with the objective markers and a few other things.

    Using HUD Begone (No Navigation) version and it´s very good. I can´t understand why there is not options in the game for getting what this mod makes.

    Still buttons from the character when attack appears and that´s really good.

    No way to remove "current objective"??? It takes up like 15% of the screen and always darkens the top right corner.

      The only ways I found to get rid of it were game breaking. You can just not select an objective in the map screen though.

    I Really love your work here, thank you so much, It would be possible to have the graphics or textures of the lockpick in the Hud Begone one? or if somebody can tell how to make it apear It would be great!

      I was using that program to figure out what do I have to change without any progress but I will try it again, another question, the .GFX are text code do I have to replace with the texture format?

      You need to replace the modded interact_lockpick.gfx with a vanilla interact_lockpick.gfx.

    How are you supposed to break down doors with the crowbar when you cant see the ring any more?, can i add that back somehow?
    Also is it possible to add back the activation icon you see on some items that you can pick up or activate like push buttons and so?, it looks like the activation icon you get when doing a melee take down.

    EDIT: I fixed the lock pick issue but the other i need help with if you can?

      Those use the interact_ files. Just use vanilla files and maybe replace any images you don't want.

    One more question ;)

    Im trying to do my own HUD mod because yours is removing much more then i want, so if i just want to have the numbers (no frame) when i set my way point, what file do i need to edit and what do i need to remove?

      The waypoint and a number of other entity indicators, such as the exclamation marks that appear over enemies' heads when they spot you, are controlled by hud_entity_indicators.gfx. My mod disables the entire file, so you could just replace it with the vanilla version. If you want to get rid of just the box around the waypoint number you'll have to replace that texture with a blank image.

      When i add your file...hud_entity_indicators.gfx...the game crashes sometimes, as soon as i use the vanilla...hud_entity_indicators.gfx...it works just fine? Have also tried with your mod version HUD Be Gone and HUD Begone (No Navigation) as they are and the game crashes at the exact same spots?, it looks like it crashes when you come close to enemy's that has a skull icon over there head in vanilla game...can be others to.

      Hmm... That's odd. I haven't experienced any crashes myself yet. While testing I did experience some crashes when the game loaded after dying, but with additional changes to the mod that stopped happening. Perhaps there is an extra file you need to have disabled or edited to prevent this from happening.

      HUD Begone replaces these files:
      -hud_entity indicators.gfx
      -hud_center.gfx
      -hud_inventory.gfx
      -hud_action_hints.gfx
      -interact_coverage.gfx
      -interact_collectable.gfx
      -interact_object.gfx
      -interact_weapon_pickup.gfx
      -interact_cover.gfx
      -turn_by_turn.gfx (No Navigation)
      -interact_vehicle.gfx

      Additionally, it edits these files:
      -hud_radar.gfx
      -hud_new_quest_unlocked.gfx
      -interact_lockpick.gfx
      -hud_selected_objective.gfx

      Are you using the Definitive Edition version of the game on Steam?

      Yes i have the Definitive Edition version of the game on Steam, and the thing is that the same crash happens even if i use your mod as it is without any changes from me.

      But now i use your OLD mod version 1.1 where i have added back some stuff that i wanted + that i use these files...

      hud_new_quest_unlocked.gfx
      hud_selected_objective.gfx
      interact_object.gfx
      interact_weapon_pickup.gfx
      interact_vehicle.gfx


      ...from your 1.5 version and now i have a mix that i like and it works just fine

      The only thing i cant find to remove is the dollar icon above the car that you shall follow and rob and kill the curier.

      I was able to reproduce the crash you encountered and have uploaded a new working version of the mod. The waypoints have had to make a return because of this. Thank you for pointing it out :)

      Could you make a version of your mod 1.6 with the radar (mini map), health & stamina and weapons & ammo still shown?

      Just replace hud_radar.gfx and hud_inventory.gfx with the vanilla files.
