Excellent mod, but I wish not all gangsters had the Tommy Gun. Randomly they have Colt M1911 pistols in a higher percentage and the Tommy gun (M1A1 or M1928) in a lower percentage. The standard police should have the Tommy Gun M1A1 and shotguns in the fourth star. The SWAT police should only come in the armored vans in the fourth star and have the M1928 Tommy Gun and shotguns (a fictitious fifth star). Detectives should only have pistols and shotguns in the third star. I think these changes would give more realism and fun to the game.
Thank you so much! But unfortunately I can't do this, I'm not a game developer and this mod was my first ever mod that I created. In total I have created 5 mods and all of them for Mafia 2 Classic. I think you would like to try my latest mod "Die Hard Edition" where I have revamped the story and dlcs to make the game excruciatingly hard. I wish I could do this (revamp the police system) but I can't

-1 Star: The police try to warn you or give you a ticket -2 Star: The police try to capture you on foot -3 Star: The police shoot you with 38 revolvers/shotguns and the detectives come in random vehicles with Colt M1911 pistols and Shotguns -4 Star: The police and detectives are more violent and shoot with Shotguns, Thompson M1A1 and Colts M1911. There are barricades with Police and Detectives armed with M1A1s and Shotguns. -5 Star: The SWAT comes in vans armed with the Thompson M1928, M1A1, Shotguns and randomly the M1 Garand. There are barricades with SWATs armed with M1928, M1A1, Shotguns and M1 Garands.
You need to copy all the files with replacement, it's easy. Just choose between the 2 folders, if it says the path too long, just rename it. And don't forget to make a reserve copy of your files just in case
I better not say this again, but i want police need ultimate spawn or unlimited backup spawn with police peds and police vehicles after officer down like the police get backups after officers is down
