Hey my friend. You're the only one who made a black sort of texture for the cars, which is sorely needed in this game. Unfortunately, it doesn't work. Like some others have mentioned already, your mod creates severe graphical glitches. Would be nice to hear from you if there's any sort of solution, or maybe just tell us if it's broken and you have no intention of fixing it.
Basically I was in the same boat as you guys, I wanted to do another run through the game and couldn't find a mod that did this. A friend of mine tipped me about Special K, and it worked. If this is a SpecialK issue, then I don't really know what to do I'm afraid. I'm busy working on a very large mod project for Door Kickers 2. If you or anyone wants to pick this mod up, you've got my permission. The files are here for the taking. :)
I had a less rusted darker black version lined up that I didn't get to release as my HDD containing it died. Very sorry about all this. :(
I see. Well I would certainly think there is an issue with Special K if it ever worked for you at some point. I sent you a message on the Nexus forum a while ago if you want to check that out and we can talk further.
Checked your message. It worked flawlessly for me. I played the entire game with a retextured Magnum Opus. I have no idea why there's glitches, it has to be a SpecialK issue. I really wish I could solve this, I understand the pain of having to use the not so great vanilla paintjobs. Like I've stated , everything in the mod is free to use for anyone who wishes to make this work with an injector. I'd recommend downloading the files and checking a recent tutorial on how to use specialK. The files should override the vanilla ones.
EDIT: I wouldn't mind seeing what the graphical glitches look like. I'm wondering if it's SpecialK highlighting textures for export.
Thanks for the efforts. Today I just came looking for something like this… However, it doesn't work for me. I followed the instruction closely but when I activate the racing paint, the whole game looks odd, including the main menu and the ground goes invisible. Any advice?
[EDIT] Didn't work :( Followed the instructions, the only things of note was the folders only generated as far as D:\Docs\My Mods\SpecialK\Profiles, I had to add the rest from there. Should it have created the MAd MAx folder itself? Maybe I just need to do it again. Should I run MM through SKIF to begin with? I just opened it from my start menu as usual.

All the best.
