No the real reason this is oversharpened and blown out is the majority of people who used sweet fx and now reshade think this looks fine due to years of people saying post aa solutions look blurry but i wont zero jaggies, has to be sharper. They just put this on everything and even still do it destroying any detail in lights/shadows incorrect colors. This game doesn't have a lot of mods as to why this is so popular throw on top the poster used the term "cine" which is a frostbyte modding tool back around then, so most ppl thought it was that those who didnt bother to look.
To anyone complaining about how the mod looks blown out or the sharpening,, this was made in 2015!! Most people had terrible monitors and the contrast and colors of the average monitor setup then was completely trash!! Thats the reason this mod is so popular and most of its popularity was from the 2015-2016. I purely consider this an outdated MOD and should only be used if you have a very low end monitor thats the only time you will see a benefit. This mod was made for Monitors that can only produce 16 million colors, 1600x900 max resolution, and a 1000:1 contrast, which is VERY low end by todays standards.
Hello my monitor is 1440x900 whatever i did as well as adjusting the resolution from setting.ini the screen still 1920.1080 and looks small in game, what should i do?
Too goddamn bad the install is a .exe file, I only do manual installs unless it's for a trusted mod manager and/or a very popular file. Cant believe there are no manual install instructions.... or install instructions at all. Possibly good mod, but when the author is so lazy that the description is confusing or incomplete why would the mod be worth my time? Will go DL another preset or make my own.
Oh noes! We won't be blessed with your presence anymores? Well, get over yourself. I get expressing that you would prefer that something have a manual install option, but the petulant, snot bubble blowing, five year old whining; 'I'm going to take my ball and go home!' monologue is just childish.
Want a manual install? Use something like Sandboxie to pull the unpacked files safely and drop them in place yourself. But I guess that takes too much effort for you to think of doing. Funny that, for someone telling other people they are 'lazy'. That's how the modding community works, they do some work, you do some work, and everyone gets a result. Stop thinking everyone owes you the cream on the top of the cake.
Same here... then I downloaded ReShade from its original website https://reshade.me/ Just install that one and after that ust copy only the .ini file from the mod. If it's not gonna work I'm gonna overwrite any file from ReShade with those coming from the mod.
