Thank you so much!! A warning for anyone wanting to get the achievements, using this will pop all the ending achievements as soon as you load up the game. I got like 8 achievements all at once.
I have a hypothesis/warning as to why you might not be able to play online while using this save file as-is. Based on previous save file management experience, I believe that this LotF save file most probably contains metadata that points to the uploader's (KanaeYamauchi's) Steam ID, which would create a discrepancy flag when it's loaded in LotF through your Steam account. I don't know if there's a "Save Manager" tool with a "patch save file with your Steam ID" feature for LotF, and I haven't attempted to modify the metadata manually on a Steam game save file with LotF's engine, but patching KanaeYamauchi's save file with your own Steam ID is probably the most surefire way to prevent the issue. Refer to sonoske700's sticky post for an alternative approach.
If you have issues, turn off steam cloud saves, delete all saves in the saved games folder, then put the saves from this into the folder and it works.
Also, if you want to play the game and still be able to get achievements while simultaneously using this mod - start the game, make a character with the selected class you want, then after you are in the starting area exit out of the game and delete all Generalsave from the LOTF saves folder but keep the regular save00_b1. Then download Steam Achievements Manager https://github.com/gibbed/SteamAchievementManager/releases/tag/7.0.25
Extract the files, open sam picker, select LOTF
Deselect any achievements you don't want, commit changes in the top right corner. Exit and restart steam, now you can start the game with your current selected class on a completely fresh save with no achievements unlocked.
i want to know this too . This game goes out of his way to lock you out of stuff just because. I dont want to play 20 ng+ to get every little nook and cranny I missed because I didn't want to use summons or some other bs.
Hey guys, I'm still new to modding and stuff.. Can anyone get me a link to some video as to how to put his save file into the game? I usually have automatic downloads not a manual one. Plus my game isn't downloaded on the C folder, and I got it on steam if that matters? Anything will be helpful honestly!!

Note sure what else you could do but try to make a new character. Then try restoring your old save and see if the save works online.
