This is amazing, K2 also got this treatment and it made the game look so much better
Any chance 7 gets the same treatment, with Gaiden/Lost Judgment/6 textures being ported over? That game is so ugly to look at sometimes

I remember someone did an ATM fix but it didn't have assigned LOD, idk if it's the same with this mod

Lost Judgment will be the next game I play after Gaiden and it's a near certainty that I will update its graphics even if only because I personally want them to be updated.

The community for RGG games is pretty different from that of my mainstay, Fallout New Vegas.  I suppose it's the two extremes.  Endorsements are hard-won here.  It's a shame because pretty much the only people who will ever know higher res textures is an option in Gaiden are those who checked on the day it dropped.  I'm hoping Infinite Wealth will signal a shift in mindset and people will grow accustomed to finding mods for RGG games on Nexus.

This is awesome. I really hate that RGG Studio keeps using low res textures even for pc, its just so fucking lazy. Thanks for the hard work. It would be great if you could update other games too since the assets are basically the same

Very nice mod. Now we need some prop models to get replaced, like the low poly cans in vending machines and the convenience stores.

Some of the textures on props were addressed willy nilly, such as the mystery drinks and Mountain Dew.  I tried to put a limit on what was upscaled out of an overabundance of caution concerning VRAM usage, but it looks like this was the correct approach and there's still plenty of room to add more.

That said, because of a previously noted limitation with RMM, arranging a mod like this is actually a tremendous headache, as is updating it.  There will certainly need to be a cutoff point for a filler game like this.  User interest absolutely slots this project into personal hobby territory.

I have been thinking about tinkering with meshes here and there.  It's comparatively rare, but some of the game's environment meshes have bad UV.  Such ideas tend to depend on how long I spend with a given game, though.

I feel like I'm the only one who endorses the mods I use lol

Why does this exist for this game but not the older games?
