Edit: The mod probably needs an update as it doesn't seem to work with the latest version of the game
Hey there, I got this to work on the Game Pass/Microsoft Store version with a couple of small changes:
Changed the target exe from "LOP-Win64-Shipping.exe" to "LOP-WinGDK-Shipping.exe" and rebuilt the dll
Renamed the dll to "xaudio2_9.dll" because my game wouldn't load it otherwise

Here's the zip file (and the dll virustotal scan). Extract to Lies of P\Content\LiesofP\Binaries\WinGDK\ Note: The fov.ini file has to be in the same folder as the executable and dll (no idea why this is different from the steam version).
I can confirm that this works. Thank you so much! Coincidentally, I also found out that Interpose Mod Loader console functionality works with the Gamepass version as well (meaning that you can alter the FOV with the "fov xx" command).
Same, it does not work for me either and I've followed instructions exactly. I am using the LoP Fixes mod (BonusJZ) and Dark Souls Equip Load (GutzBerkman) if there's a possible conflict with these two.
I just want to add, I already tried the original instructions and also renaming to the other filename and the mod isn't working. I tried both with the fov.ini in the same folder as your instructions say, and also a combination of the content folder and the folder outside that. I also tried different ranges of fov values just in case the one I tried was too high or low but it doesn't work even just increasing to 90.
@zettochu that unfortunately didn't seem to work either. I've put the auto-camera rotation to 0 and it still spins. Don't know if it'll matter, but I'd like to add my game is in a G: drive instead of the usual C:
Can any of you try renaming the dll to nvngx.dll? The downside is that If it works you won't be able to use DLSS Nevermind, realized this one can't work
Hello. I experience the same as the 3 people you were answering in this above post. Gamepass version, game in E: drive, using this fixed dll, tried renaming to original name and to nvngx.dll, running as normal/admin, nothing works. I am using dark souls equip load mod.
so can we have updete for game v 1.500 ?itried all files combinations but it either crash game or dont work at all, and dude whos making universal unreal unlocker dont care about this game ;/ otherwise i guess all i can do is to look for outdated game version repack or something lmao
While this mod no longer works. You can still press "`" to open in-game console to input "fov 90" or whatever number to set the FOV you want. input "fov default" to return fov back to default value.
Unfortunately, after moving through the stargazer fov returns to default. But i found the solution. I haven't found how to autoexecute fov 90 every time, but i found how to bind command to a key. Binded to "V" key. Save the line UETools_BindToggle V "fov 90" in the wordpad and copy that line ctrl+c. Open console in game and use it, ctrl+v - enter. Every time you using stargazer to move somewhere else push "V". I used also Xpadder and assigned "V" on left analog stick button. Seems handy :-)
Is there any way that I can help you make this mod work for the Gamepass version? Do you need any files or the folder hierarchy? I loved the demo for this game and was using UUU to unlock the FOV but that doesn't work on the Gamepass version either.
As it stands, I've effectively just wasted my money because I won't be playing much of this game without an increased FOV.
I have placed fov.ini in the \Lies of P\ folder. I have also placed XAPOFX1_5.dll into \Lies of P\Content\LiesofP\Binaries\WinGDK folder. That folder also includes the following files:
GameChat2.dll XCurl.dll LOP-WinGDK-Shipping.exe
When I start the game, it launches normally. I can load into the game but the FOV and camera distance are the default values.
It may be possible that the executable for the Gamepass version is different than the Steam version. Maybe I could try to send you the file somehow?
Edit: It seems that it is either very hard or impossible to take ownership of the LOP-WinGDK-Shipping.exe. As of now, I can't seem to make a copy of the .exe or open it in HxD.

Mine does. Your post has the path going into the "Engine" folder that's in the "Content" folder. Inside of that "Content" folder you should also have a "LiesofP" and "Resources" folders along with the "Engine" folder; you want the "LiesofP" folder, then "Binaries", then "WinGDK, and the "LOP-WinGDK-Shipping.exe" is in there.
I really hope the mod maker can update the camera mod, its just not playable without it, and i like many would love to play it with the mod, its makes me sick without it
Wait they did remove this annyoing camera follow when you use mouse now and we don't need this mod anymore? I was thinking to buy this game today and saw that it has this camera follow crap which is a dealbreaker for me and now with the newest patch this mod seems not to work anymore... Did they really remove this feature when using a mouse? Can more people confirm please?

I got up to the final boss and now camera is auto-following again 🤦
EDIT: My mistake.. it seems they've actually removed autofollow now, at least when using mouse. No option, it's just gone.
