I installed this with steam and confirmed with DLSS hud that DLAA is enabled but everything looks noticeably more blurry from just DLSS off entirely. I also used preset F method and see Render Preset: F showing in hud too. It kinda looks like a thick DOF effect on everything.

In Krat Hotel the chandalier above the puppet in front of reception flashes a lot from I think are reflections glitching out when DLAA is enabled. Turning off dlss fixes this. I installed tweaks on steam version and see the results with both default 3.1.1 and 3.5 DLSS. I've also used DLSS tweaks on other games without problems so not sure what's going on.

Hm you're right, I noticed DLAA was sharper than DLSS but didn't compare with DLSS disabled, seems that's still a lot sharper than both DLSS & DLAA.
Maybe one of the sharpening settings in the graphics menu only becomes active with DLSS disabled, or some other sharpening effect in the game, not sure.

Unfortunately don't really know a great fix for that, guess it's an issue with how they implemented DLSS here, for a workaround you could apply sharpening with UETools dev console, "r.Tonemapper.Sharpen 4" seems to get it closer to DLSS-disabled, but that is a much higher sharpen value than I'd normally use in other UE games (usually 0.5 - 1.0 is enough...)

Game doesn't seem to read from any Engine.ini though (at least on GamePass) so would have to enter that into console each time you launch game... could maybe force NIS sharpening through NV control panel instead, might even work better than the UE4 one.

Both of these would be applying sharpening after the DLSS/DLAA pass though, so any aliasing they add wouldn't really be helped by DLAA :/

Same problem here, I was wondering if I did anything wrong because this would be the first case I saw with TAA working better than DLAA, guess they have a good TAA implementation and that the sharpening slide in the menu is not applying to DLAA
    3. This is an old post but from my experience this is because of the DLSS version that is being used. In my opinion, DLSS 2.5 (not 2.5.1 or higher) was the last DLSS dll that provided a sharp image for me. I would suggest finding DLSS2 version 2.5 if you can and replacing the games DLSS version with that one.

I take it this game is not easy to mod? Seeing that it's very popular and well received, yet there have been almost no mods so far.

Its UE4.27, so very easy to mod.  Already extracted the pak files, but personally not really seeing anything I want to change.

I've put the files as instructed in the gamepass folder but the DLSS option entirely disappears from the graphics menu and the DLSS HUD does not show, any clue?

EDIT: In fact, I got it to work on every game I've tested EXCEPT the ones in Unreal Engine 4, no matter where I put the DLSS Tweaks ("Fake" exe or Shipping exe) and whether I rename the file to dxgi.dll or anything else, any help please? I literally did the same thing I've done for every other game but it does not work, I tried Severed Steel, Lies of P, Ready or Not, Sifu, all have the same thing with the DLSS option disappearing and all that, despite following the instructions :(

Did you merge the EnableNvidiaSigOverride.reg file? Also does any DLSSTweaks.log file get created? Maybe try changing VerboseLogging in the INI to true and see if any kind of error shows up in the .log

Other than that do you know which driver version you have installed? I remember some had issues using DLSSTweaks with older drivers before, but it's strange that for you it works in some titles but not others.

I have absolutely no idea on the logic behind it, but the next day I did quite literally the same steps as every other title and that I had already tried and now it also works in UE4 titles, although it doesn't seem to follow the presets override as it seems to go based off the scaling set (Example: if I set anything above 0.67 it defaults to preset F (As if it was DLAA) even if I overwrote it to C in the tweak, that may be related to the nvngx.dll though and renaming it may fix it, not sure... Possibly just UE4 being... UE4? Is there any chance you can see if it's an issue that can be replicated or if it's just me? Thank you so much!

Seems to work great on the GamePass version, it's too bad devs themselves didn't include DLAA from the start..

The included files should work fine on Steam version too but I don't own that to test it myself, if anyone tries it I'd appreciate hearing from you!
