yknow if someone can convince like, zolika to come over and mod this game, thatll revive this modding scene. Given jedijosh is also a GTA modder, Zolika could prolly figure this s#*! out too.
If you have Steam version you can still run this mod today following this:
Installing the Script Hook (will only work with the official Steam version on PC) 1. Make sure you meet the requirements above. Run your up-to-date install of TSS at least once 2. Open the Steam Console. On Windows 10, press Windows Button+R and enter "steam://open/console" 3. Enter the following into Steam Console: "download_depot 920210 920211 1203144903544065781". This will download an old version of the game (in a separate location from your other games). You only need to do this for the base game files. We'll be using the most recent version of everything else. 4. Wait for the download to complete. Steam won't show progress but it will notify you of the download location when it's done. 5. Navigate to the download location (probably "C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\content\app_920210\depot_920211"). 6. In a new window, navigate to Steam's TSS install location (probably "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\LEGO Star Wars - The Skywalker Saga"). The files should look nearly identical to the outdated version you just downloaded. 7. Copy and paste the outdated files ("depot_920211" folder) into Steam's TSS install location ("LEGO Star Wars - The Skywalker Saga" folder). Overwrite files when prompted. The contents of the "depot_920211" folder can then be deleted. 8. Navigate to your Library in the Steam app. Right-click TSS, then select "Properties" and "Updates". Set the first option to "Only update the game when I launch it". 9. Create a new empty folder in Steam's TSS install location, named "scripts". Later you will paste here all files from NPC spawner download. 10. Download the most recent version of the TSS Script Hook and extract the .zip contents into Steam's TSS install location. 11. Run the game. You should see a notification in the top left that the script hook is installed. 12. Load the NPC spawner by pressing "insert" key 13. Star the NPC spawner menu by pressing "F2" key 14. Control the NPC spawner menu by numerical keyboard: 8 -up, 2-down, 5-select, 0-back

UPDATE!!!!!!! Ok, I just fixed the error that it gave me and why it didn't start. Before starting it you have to install the NPC respawn script. If you just start the game with the script hook, the game will not start
I hate to resurrect bad feelings about this process, but I'd like some assistance if anyone knows what's going on. I waited for the console download, but received the error "Depot download failed : error writing chunk for "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\content\app_920210\depot_920211\GAME5.DAT"" I'm assuming this means the previous version of the game downloaded with incomplete files. I tried to copy paste them into the TSS Steam install location anyway, and predictably the game did not start. I also tried MRNabosHD's fix and downloaded the NPC respawn script in the scripts folder, to no avail.

Because he's a greedy bastard. Releases mods for a game for maybe like a few months then goes to some other s#*! no one fucking cares about. Dude singlehandedly raised this game's modding scene, then killed it within the span of a few weeks.
absolutely agree... this game has the biggest modding potential out of all Lego games and this guy just left it dead. Such a wasted opportunity to make new levels, upgrade the open world, add more capital ships to space and make them attack each other etc.
Try making sure nothing else is running except your game. Could be an overlay interfering with the hooks, need to find out what program is causing this.
thanks for the reply, i've got nothing else open, I even disabled steam overlay and geforce and still nothing. i've checked antivirus, permissions, read only blah blah blah the only thing i can think of is windows 11 doing something stupid as it usually does
Try deleting "ScriptHookLSWSS.dll" and see if you get an error message, or if the game still doesn't start. And when it refuses to launch do you mean like the game starts then crashes or won't open at all? If anyone here has a Discord please write it down it'll be easier to message on there to help debug and find the problem. I want to try and fix this as soon as possible
Gonna try deleting that file now and see what happens, and it seems like the game just won't start at all, it didn't look like crashing to me. My discord is wak #2836 but I'm not sure how much help I can be as I've never debugged a mod or anything like that before lol
Quick edit: I did get an error message that said "Could not find ScriptHookLSWSS.dll"
I'm running Windows 10. I just installed the game on Steam, then installed the mod including all the newly added requirements. Unfortunately the game won't start for me. After clicking "PLAY" in Steam, the TSS splash screen is up for a few seconds then disappears and Steam resets the "PLAY" button. Any. other info I can provide that would help in figuring out a fix?

could you pls try and update the mod. i cant play with mods becose i use epic games so i can chainge the version of the game
