What's the deal with the two versions? Is there a reason to use one or the other ?
edit: This seems to be old anyway ,Github or gamebanana seem to have newer versions. Github releases: https://github.com/NiceneNerd/BCML/releases Install info + alt. download link: https://gamebanana.com/tools/6624s. edit: Seems to be an even newer one here: https://pypi.org/project/bcml/#files Not sure about all this , author should really sort this out .
This page has been abandoned, there's already 3 other places for the author to keep up with releases for. Installing BCML via the python `pip` command is recommended to get the latest version.
That command is `pip install bcml` for those interested. Needs python 3.7+ 64-bit installed, with the check box for "Add Python installation to PATH" checked during install.
Where's the .exe auto installer for this stuff with a "select your directory" option? An absurd amount of work required for the ability to alter small sound file changes, such as removing the annoying reverb hit sound from the charged Master Sword.
jfc, I spent an hour trying to figure this out. Thank you. I can't believe it was a simple, "use command prompt, not the program we just told you to install."
someone gonna do something about the missing .exe i try to use python with the pip command but it just doens't fail and try to know the path i think where the BCML file who just don't appear when i donwload the .rar if someona can help plz
It's a shame the mods on BOTW's GameBanana page are corrupt and outright ban criticism of them or their friends, like the toxic Zelda's Ballad creator. Very toxic community. Wouldn't recommend it.
The author of the Linkle mod wants my phone number when I try to sign up for his support discord, heh. I was like no way, f'n fruitcake. Nexus has such a wonderful community compared to other sites.
Totally agree. Gamesbanana is a extremely toxic community, the owners are incredible mean. Everyone I know I recommend to stay away from them. I got banned there from even asking why BCML is so horrible to install. I noticed that this command structure they use is very common in Linux community users, since they use Komand for like everything. I believe they are some sort of linux elitists like SJWs.

BCML has been superseded by UKMM (U-King Mod Manager), which is far more intuitive and doesn't have Python as a dependency.
