Try dropping the motion vectors shader into the reshade-shaders/Shaders/qUINT folder and restart Cemu. If that doesn't work then try downloading the shader again and place it in the folder I mentioned. This happened to me as well.
Let me ask the developer of NGL to see if there's a solution and I'll update with another reply here. Sorry about that guys! ReShade be like that sometimes.
Okay so while we wait, you guys can try downloading these two shaders and replacing them in the reshade-shaders/Shaders/qUINT folder. I'm hoping this would solve the problem.
Edit: Right when I posted this comment, the dev for NGL got back to me lol what are the odds. He sent me a link to a modified version of qUINT Motion Vectors which does not require Depth.fxh or Global.fxh. Download this and replace the file in the reshade-shaders/Shaders/qUINT folder. Please let me know if this works or not so I can update the installation process.
Damnit man, what is up with that? Let me ask him again and see what he says. Thank you for your patience.
EDIT: While I wait for an answer I would suggest uninstalling reshade and doing a clean install. Maybe that could help. Especially if you are running an older version of reshade. I'll even do the same thing later tonight to see if I can replicate the error.
EDIT 2: It may be worth doing a clean install of reshade using OpenGL. Just remember that you'd have to change the graphics API to OpenGL as well under the Cemu graphics settings.
I'm getting all the same errors reported here and had to revert back to the old version. However since you updated the install information I no longer know the correct right settings for the *old* distant fog removal portion within Cemu. I'm referring to "Distant Fog Main, Hyrule Castle Base Fog, Hyrule Castle Ganons Aura, NPC Fog Removal, and World Fog Fields".. I'm pretty sure you had the pictures of what to set these to before in the old version, no?
Would you mind posting what the settings for the old version should be?? I'd appreciate it.. Thanks!
Hi there, I am sincerely sorry about the errors you've received with the new version. I tried my best to find a proper solution but couldn't find anything concrete. I even asked the developer for NGL for suggestions and all he said was that he never tested his shader with Vulkan. Of course I even asked about using OpenGL for Cemu but sadly he did not reply back to me.
It does sound like some people are having success using my preset with his shader though. So unfortunately, using my preset for NGL is all based out of pure luck afaik. Any issues pertaining to NGL at this point are out of my control so please understand that I did everything in my power to find a solution with no guaranteed success.
That being said, there wasn't much difference in the Fog settings between v5.2 and v6.0. I would recommend just following the updated steps for Remove Distant Fog and not use the older graphics pack for Distant Fog Removal included with the DL for v5.2.
My god... this reshade preset NGL in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom is the best thing i saw in the last month. leave the preset like it is and just add MXAO [qUINT_mxao.fx] on default and Clarity default on with maybe a lightly touch from tonemap.fx. you will see some srly magic guys this is ... diffrent. also set in Ryujinx vulkan on with 1440/2160p and PP effect SMAA Ultra, Upscale FSR 0,0, AF 16x. it feels like i play on a whole new graphic engin its INSANE. i wirte down some fixed you should know to get the best out of this experience.
After the NGL preset with reshade you might get Flickering on Ryujinx in fullscreen mode. you can handle that by enable "copy depth buffer before clear operations" in the area "Add-ons" in the reshade overlay.
if you want to want to 100% kill the sound async in cutscenes you should download the ZTOTK 30fps mode patch and enable in Ryujinx on graphic settings "Enable Texture Recompression"
So you're saying you've tested my preset with TotK running on Ryujinx? If so, this is great news! Hopefully, once I get my hands on Totk (legally of course!) I can adapt this preset to the game. I'll definitely keep your suggestions for Ryujinx in mind as well.
Although I just need to say up front that I am extremely skeptical about releasing a preset for TotK. I hope you all understand the dire consequences this would have on my YT channel and my well being if I ever got into any sort of trouble with Nintendo for any of this. That being said, please do use any of my mods at your own risk and I hope you understand that I may or may not release a preset for TotK. At least not for a while and maybe if the time is right. I just don't want to make myself a target and avoid any inconveniences.
So I'm happy to report that I have tested REVO ReShade for TotK on Ryujinx. Outside of the unstable depth buffer, I'm pleased to find out that this preset works extremely well with TotK. So well in fact that I really don't need to make any changes at all. Maybe a few slight adjustments to compensate for the lack of fog removal mods but other than that, everything looks great so far.
I tested it with your settings on Ryujinx, but the grass feels weird, too dark and I think. And the flowers spawns and despawn so fast when you just run. But hopefully we'll get an upgrade for totk Edit : Oh I noticed that I used the RTGI instead of the NGL lol Gonna give a new try
Looks really good thx. Ive got a question tho. Maybe its not cause of your work but anyway, maybe you can help? In a lot of places Link just starts to swim and i hear water noices etc even tho there is no water like in the forest at the start. Hope you can help. Have a nice day :)
Go to the Cemu discord, then go to the pinned comments in "botw_discussion". They say it's caused by the game loading too fast. You can try turning your FPS down or moving the game to a slower drive. That's the only fixes they have for now I believe. It is unfortunate
I tried following the instructions as best I could. I am sorry but they are super confusing and contradictory. The depth buffer video doesn't nothing to explain what settings are needed for BOTW. After trying to get everything to work the end result is my game just looks lighter and worse. Not sure what I did wrong.
Can someone help me? Shadows tend to stick on my screen whenever there's a cutscene or when I open the map. I'm using the RTGI version with the latest ReShade, and CEMU version. I even tried the NGL, but the shadows still remain.
I get screen flickering with RTGI and adaptive fog enabled. Once I disable those settings the flickering is gone. This is on OpenGL. I can do without adaptive fog but has anyone found a solution to get RTGI without flickering? Its just these two settings that seem to cause it for me
+1 for this. Flicker with RTGI enabled with any preset I use. If anyone knows of a solution it would be greatly appreciated. I looked around and saw people speaking of a depth option which I couldn't find in the RTGI shader. Any ideas?
i play on a 32:9 5120x1440 screen + 12900k/4090/32gb ram + use vulkan api.
using your latest preset 6.0 version + reshade 5.8 + rtgi 0.36.1 didn't work well on my setup unfortunately.
definitely was related to display depth and my resolution as nothing really worked correctly as when opening map, using scope, camera, and when cycling through shields, weapons, bows, arrows, it would cause weird glitching and focusing and ghosting. even with all the shaders off, it would keep doing it.
spent around 3 hours troubleshooting and dropping down to your preset 5.2 + reshade 5.2.1 + rtgi 0.36.1 works perfect.
I am playing on 21:9 monitor (3840x1600) but rendering the game on 16:9 (3840:2160). After installing this mode I think I have found a bug on CEMU side? Playing with DisplayDepth.fx and it looks like Depth is streched even if the game keeps aspect ratio... Is it possible to fix it somehow?
I followed all the settings for the NiceGuyLighting version of the Reshade but when starting the game I get an error that NGLighting.fx failed to compile. Any idea what might fix this?
Edit: just saw someone else have this issue in the comments. I guess there is no way to fix it. Only option is RTGI. I have a 5900x and 3090 btw. Game runs smooth but I did notice flickering shadows in the far distance. Even changing distant texture LOD back to default did not solve that problem.
The screen seems to have transparent drawings in the background. What is the reason for this? How do I fix it?
edit: Replacing the NGL crap with RTGI fixed the problem. I didn't get a reply from anyone on the channel or from the private message I sent to this guy who writes false sentences in his profile and reshade description that you can join for help.
Hi, I just finished installing everything following the guide. But when I launch Revo reshade, I see that there are 4 options in red: [SuperDeth3D_WoWvx.fx] failed to compile [qUINT_regrade.fx] failed to compile [SlitScan.fx] failed to compile [LeiFX_OA.fx] failed to compile I don't know if I did everything right. Please help me with this 🙏🙏🙏. Thanks

Unfortunately i get a compiler error within reshade. This points to the qUINT_motionvectors.fx from martymcmodding.
D:\Cemu_2.0-34\reshade-shaders\Shaders\qUINT_motionvectors.fx(84, 1): preprocessor error: could not open included file 'qUINT\Global.fxh'
D:\Cemu_2.0-34\reshade-shaders\Shaders\qUINT_motionvectors.fx(85, 1): preprocessor error: could not open included file 'qUINT\Depth.fxh'
Too bad.
Well, i did what you suggested but it did not worked at all. :(
Sadly, I have to fallback to v.5
Right click on Raw and Save link as...
Depth.fxh
Global.fxh

New error came up with using the updated qUINT_motionvectors.fx:

Im Using RevoV6 and NGL but in Reshade im getting " no depth buffers found". Any ideas on how to solve this?
I had a similar issue before realizing I missed that step !
hope its just that !
