Recently finished a full playthrough of this, and while I had a good time overall, there's certainly some issues with it, particularly with the puzzles. In no particular order...
The earth and water scroll puzzles have no hints. The other two do, so why don't these?
There's many fights where you don't have room to move, and just have to sit there and tank all the damage
With the "Golem and minions" fight, you can stand at the entrance without triggering the fight and just wail on the golem with ranged attacks. A similar thing is possible with the dormant summon stones near one of the mine keys; since their AI only activates when the key is taken, you can just beat them up and avoid actually fighting them
The pressure plate puzzle in the swamp has no indication of which plates need to be active
The library's lever puzzle has no hints, unless the text near it is supposed to be one, though it's just nonsense. It probably should have some sort of hint, considering it's required
The "lava" near the fire essence altar is really loud and doesn't make much sense. You may want to have a look at Zimber's Assets, it's got proper lava in it that you can use instead
The lantern puzzle in the mines has no hints, and with 9 pressure plates, it essentially can't be brute-forced
The block puzzle can get stuck, and with it being required and there being no way to reset it, it's really easy to softlock the mod. It should also probably be made more obvious that each block can only be pushed from certain directions
There aren't enough high-level throwing weapons. Maybe I missed some, but only 1 shuriken and 3 throwing axes is nowhere near enough, especially since I had 20 arrows by the end
Weapons in general are probably too rare, I think there's 3 pre-placed heavy weapons in the whole thing, and I was stuck with a spiked club for a really long time. Others are even worse than that; as far as I know, there's literally only one spell tool and missile weapon, and there's no spears at all. Not sure about daggers, but I think there was only one as well, not counting the ethereal blades
The viper roots in the garden are pathetically easy. Did you not change their level?
Hey! While I see others struggle with the balancing issue , I personally see it more of a realistic approach , you wouldn't want a prison to be so easy literally everyone can escape... (Yes I re rolled multiple parties). I loved that there is no respawnable enemies which I could leech food from , made me ration my food about the first 3-4 hours of gameplay. I do agree that some parts were more tedious like the one with the viper roots or spiders in that cave ( I screamed from frustration) but after clearing everything out there ,it's almost too peaceful now ;D I got to the point where I am sitting with pen and paper and trying to solve the damn moving blocks in the mine (with movable paper notes) I did found some glitched spots or terrain hiding some useful items I missed on the first run ,I also kinda brute forced the test of intelligence so I'd like to bug test that as well, the lava sounds you make are basically fire bomb explosions which are annoyingly loud which scared me at first then I just got used to it. Overall, good job ,so far great mod. Endorsed .
It`s very unbalanced mod. Tough enemies are faced in the first minutes and the weakest are faced when team in overpowered against them. For example two viprer roots waiting on the entrance of the second location so beging poorly equiped and facing them without option to maneuver around is death sentence. And be forced to use tactic "enter location hit and escape and wait and repeat" is boring and no fun. Locations look nice but the poorly placed monsters don`t allow to appreciate them.
Hi I discover your mod (with a new team in normal difficulty). Hard but fun until then. I'm on the beach and i'm stuck with the teleporters riddle. I activate all the plates in the wood, I activate the light and... no result. I've tried to not activate all the plates without result. Can I have your help please ?
Your mod deserves more endorsements, but instead of it people rather endorse others lame and unbalanced mods which have bigger file size. But there is no need to add additional wallsets to make good mod, too bad that not so many people understand this... Sad but true that most people are too stupid.
That was so enjoyable. I would say on par with the original game!!! Thank-you. Level 20 - 12 hours. But I am methodical about mapping everything... ;-)
