Splendid mod. I can`t pick a single minus to this. Even through the dungeons are randomly generated they are more balanced than some of the 50+ hours mods. Fight with bosses are very different from each other not just hit and run thing over and over. Even puzzles are fine and challenging. Random loot around every corner and very little food supplies makes those dungeons just like the first Legend of Grimrock. Trully gods work.

Great Mod, any chance of the source code/editor files? Crashes continually trying to pick up scroll in cave in passage with button for secret alcove in 'Flooded Dungeon'. Running Grimlock 2 ver. 2.2.4

Is there a list of items for this mod?

    - Food is a finite resource. Excessive sleeping or backtracking can leave your whole party starving, there are no endlessly spawning sea turtles here!

Yeah, not a fan of finite food, as minotaurs gobble up too much as it is already! Great idea, but this mod excludes most players that aren't anal minutiae fiends, (However, the first rule of mods are; the more detailed/complex a mod is directly in proportion to just how much the gameplay has been crippled with gratuitous nerfs!) though I may use a save editor... Too bad it's no longer supported...

is this thing still live? i see comments as being a year or so old but the replies to those comments are 2 years old wtf?

what the heck is with the plate answers nothing works
    tried walking the spells out
tried leaving items on the proper panels
    tried casting the spells

this mod feels like it was made for people who just finished the game and wanted to keep going
started at level 13 felt right in terms of difficulty scale

I want to express my gratitude to the author of this add-on!
    I really liked it!

I passed the original versions of the first and second "Legend of Grimrock" very long sought something like that, because I like the random and unpredictable events. I played the whole ten hours on the level of "marathon" and received excellent experience. Very pleased with the items and equipment from the first part of the game, I tried every way to collect a set of Valor, but never collected. Sometimes we had very tight, but I was playing on the easy difficulty level. Most of the problems brought the so-called Dark Asolyte from castle Nex in original game. There were quite a lot...
Very long thought to solve puzzles with nine plates, but the fall only when I went down to the 11 level.

    I'm sure I'll play again!
I played the version 2.2.4 of original game.

I apologize for my perhaps clumsy English because my native language is Russian and I used a translator...

It's a shame this mod was discontinued. It has potential. As it stands though, it's a bit too random for my liking.

The floor 4 boss was just a single Viper Root whereas the floor 3 boss was one of the cemetery bros with all the undead summoning jazz. A world of difference.

All this random loot lying about too. Five Orbs of Radiance? A saber on floor 1 that you can't wield until you hit level 4? The bloody Wizard's Virge!? Wat.

The one thing though that felt really odd to me was just how much damage enemies were able to take after a certain point. I mean, maxed offense skills aside from accuracy and non-dagger backstab, good weapons including the Meteor Hammer, and you're telling me it still takes like 15 hits to kill one of dem snakemen on Normal? That can't be right. Am I fooling myself? They sure didn't feel that spongy in my vanilla playthrough on Hard.

If someone were to refine this, add more room diversity, categorize the loot based on floor level, and remove all those completely unnecessary barrels in corners that don't even hide any loot whatsoever, I could see myself playing this more often.

TL,DR HINT for the plate puzzles in case anyone's still wondering:
It's the wizard's conundrum. What do wizard's do? They cast spells. What do you do to cast a spell? You draw runes.

How do you enter the answer to the plate puzzles? They seem to require a verbal input, but.. how can you even do that with a 3x3 grid?

Also the difficulty curve seems far too steep. A level 5 party has no hope of killing two ogres and a temple guard in a narrow hallway right as they enter the dungeon...

Thanks for the warning, it's like requiring you to have a certain sword to kill a certain beast, yet making that sword accessible only by defeating that same beast...Certain gamers can only function by using circular logic...

Looks like I won't have to waste my time on yet another anti-balanced mod made for automatons..

Level 2 needs some clue how to solve the plate puzzle to open the gate with the chest. Other than lots of trial and error there's no solution that presents itself on the level. Also after getting the skull key and opening the gate to level 3 there's some bread flowing on the stairs as you go down it that you can't grab. Also some clothes at the bottom of the stairs on the first step of level 3 leading up to level 2.

Oh that's a bummer. Did it look like a normal game crash, or did a grey scripting error window pop up?

Bosses might be a little ways off Got some pretty grand ideas for how I'm gonna handle them.

Hello, and thanks for your work, I love your idea!

      I have the same problem.

When I take something in item room, the game crash and a box show me a lot of problem with "*.lua" files.
But you seem to be aware of this on a other forum.

I wanted just to confirm that it was not a rare and isolated bug, because I have make 8 tests, and my 8 items room crash the game, on 6 altars of items

I discovered why thanks to a helpful fella over at the forums. One of the functions is bugged in Grimrock 2 version 2.1.17, if you update your game to 2.1.18 that should fix it!
