OLD version 3 is missing some entries in the changes.ini file which only installs some of the base mod files. You won't get as many options as intended.
Apologies to everyone that downloaded v3.. I'm SO sorry. :/
I've added an (optional) update file that includes the missing files from a v3 install to save you the headache of a re-install. Read the included readme for instructions, overwriting any files it prompts.
im trying to install but the patcher wont allow me to choose directory. normally id set it to auto but for this mod thats not working though it has for other mods. im running vista. i need this mod please help
Hmmm... just tested on my end and everything is working fine
Are you using v4? Also, you may need to uncheck the 'Read Only' attribute of your kotor 2 folder's properties. Make sure to apply the changes to all subdirectories as well when asked. Especially if it's installed in a default Steam/SteamApps/Common or Program Files (x86) directory.
that may be it. the thing is i cant manually input install path with tlc patcher for your mods and when i go to install manually it goes to program files which is correct for any but vista. i need program filesX86. so nothing on your end i just think the tlc patcher isnt running right on my pc
Will it not let you change the "read only" attribute for that folder? if not, I can probably make a manual install version for you and other users that may run in to similar problems if interested.
It would be based off of a base TSL spells.2da however, so if you or anyone already has one in their override folder you would need to further edit it. In any case, if you would rather go that route, I could probably make one with a quick turnaround.

Toward reapers comment on the readme file check mark, everytime i've unchecked it, it puts itself back on. How do I stop that? I'm pretty sure that's the problem.
I'm a Mac user and haven't used Windows since the ill-fated Vista headache. I seem to remember XP would remember the setting if you "applied to all subfolders' or some such function, but not sure if Win7/8 has that option. If it's a Steam directory, they seem to reset the folder every time you update/install/ or just look at it funny.. hehehe It's a headache, but I guess they do it in the name of security since read only rights can "in theory" at least make it take longer to compromise files in a folder, so I can understand the reasoning. Unfortunately, because of the way save files work in Lucasarts games (K1/TSL).. the mod data is written in to a save file on particular first-enter areas.. but can't with read-only permissions.
hope i can get a response but giveitem hak_pad is only giving me grenades with no description, and they arent working lol. I dont see anyone else with this problem
THE CONSOLE IS INVISIBLE! HIT THE BUTTON TO OPEN THE CONSOLE, YOU WILL FIND THAT YOU CANT MOVE IF DONE CORRECTLY, THEN INPUT giveitem hak_pad , PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU HAVE TO ENABLE CHEATS IN swkotor2.ini IT LOOKS LIKE THIS EnableCheats=1 , PUT THAT DIRECTLY UNDER GAME OPTIONS. IF DONE CORRECTLY IT WILL ALL WORK FINE, JUST REMEMBER THAT UNLIKE KOTOR, KOTOR 2 CONSOLE IS INVISIBLE!
Took some time to figure it out but I got it working on android. I made a save on pc with rcm and added the hak pad then transferred the save to my phone. I also took the override folder and copied the files inside the older then moved them to my phone in it's override. Then the spells.2da I also put outside in modsenglish folder. Hopefully this helps out others but it's gotta be a pc save first just to get the item then you can use kse to get rid of the 'cheats used'
Hi, it's currently impossible to use the hak pad, when you get it, it has no text and when you click "use" on it, nothing happens. Does someone know what to do in this case ?
after attempting to use the new item added by the "giveitem hak_pad" it just tells me it is not a usable item. the mod no longer works as of v4 with the current version of KotoR2.
Installation isn't working for me. I run the .exe file as instructed, and then when I select the override fodler and click "install mod," it just says "Error! Invalid game folder specified, dialogue.tlk file not found! (Gen-7)"
Explain it to me like I'm a grandparent, please, what am i doing wrong?
I have been able to get the mod installed and have used cheats to get the hak pad added to my inventory. But it says that the item is unusable. How do I actually go about using it?
disable the other mod and check its not conflicting, if still not working, remove all hak pad files and then reinstall, make sure that hak pad has installed properly. also check that spells.2da isnt in a subfolder, but in the main override file.
Sadly the mod does not work anymore or atleast it did not for me it just shows up as a grenade with no desc even after uninstalling TSLRCM. RIP hak pad you were too good for this world.
