I'm really enjoying this mod. Thanks heaps for your work!

Just in case it saves someone else some time - I couldn't get the mod to run at first, following all the instructions. I was in a state where the game ran, worked for character creation, played the first video, then crashed.

Had nothing to do with this mod, but the latest steam swkotor2.exe is encrypted - and xuuls guide will lead you to downloading an unencrypted exe from deadlystream. That exe is out of date, even for the legacypc branch.

if you run uniws.exe and it can't find the executable, rather than downloading that exe, get steamless from https://github.com/atom0s/Steamless/releases. Running this on swkotor2.exe will create swkotor2.exe.unpacked.exe in the install directory. Delete / rename swkotor2.exe, and rename swkotor2.exe.unpacked.exe to swkotor2.exe.

Then you should be able to run uniws and follow the rest of the guides along to get this working.

    Cheers!

Because the aspyr version of the game doesn't handle alpha channel on textures very well so most of my files will appear broken/or not the way it is intended to be.

Aww, man... That's a bummer that it doesn't work as intended on aspyr version.

tbh? I played through all of Peragus on Aspyr, and the textures were good, makes the HD mods look silly in comparison..I'll see how the rest are and post it here, but so far so good.

      @ BlackKnight167
If you could upload a few HD pics somewhere I will tell you if something looks wrong.

Thanks. As expected alpha textures (materials effects and reflections) are not supported and don't show up in the Aspyr game so you're missing out on 50% of what makes my mod interesting and cool. That's why I made the Legacy version as required but if you still enjoy it on Aspyr and do prefer it over others upscale packs that's fine for me :D

Yeah, the other texture packs look too cartoonish to me, these are still good on aspyr imo, I HATE the Dantooine sublevels on vanilla and HD, yours is the only good one.

maybe someday you may make a fully compatible aspyr version?

I think this mod is not praised enough. Not only it has better textures for everything, but also improved color design.

Harbinger has the same colors as K1 Endar Spire. Dantooine's Jedi academy has white fountains more like in the concept art, instead of jarring brick-red paired with blue wall.

    Wonderful, must-have mod.

Thanks. I was not aware of the jedi academy concept art but yeah the vanilla academy colors are terrible.

You can pick and use any textures without major problem.

So what's different in this compared to previous HD texture packs?

Some other HD packs now old and was not updated since once was uploaded. This one is made with mind of the latest version of other mods... So, I think probably this one is more compatible with new mods or/and with mods, which has fresh, not too old versions. Except, when it's comes to CP for example, apparently.

I don't get the question. Most of my textures are 100% original and home made so it is different by definition.

Curious why you made this incompatible with the Community Patch? When everyone else recommends using it. I mean just stopped me even trying this mod now. Sorry.

The community patch has been made for the latest version of Kotor 2 (the aspyr update and its bugs army), my mod requires the legacy version of the game. And this patch is only a compilation of various mods so you can still hand pick some of them IF they are recommended for the legacy game.

Experiencing an error on starting a new game, just after the first cutscene, stating that "V_EHawk01b.tga" has an invalid bumpmap, this causes no issues as far as I've seen yet but would be nice to know what's up. Swapping out the file along with it's .txi counterpart for a pair from another texture mod stops the erroring.

Never had this issue myself. If it persists you can safely remove the 2 files. Unlike the first KOTOR 2 is sometimes a pretty capricious game to mod.

I'll attempt to put it back in later to see what happens, seeing as it's the Ebon Hawk's exterior I imagine any issue will be rather obvious. Cheers for the mod =)

I don't think you can access the Steam Workshop when playing the Legacy version (which is required by my mod).

I believe there are guides for modding games on the steam deck that dont have the workshop, arent there? if so and if all it takes is linking up the deck to your pc you can probably do it that way.

i wouldnt know caus ei dont have a steam deck myself, and theres no way ill be able to afford one in the near future

Can you please make textures for Coruscant and M4-78 mods too?
