As for bug fixes, I had the wiki up pretty much the entire time I was playing so I would know where to go and how to fix the bugs. I have a Windows 11 PC and I played this in April 2025. The dialogue skipping completely was fixed by turning the game back to legacy edition. It sometimes cuts off before the soundclip finishes, but it doesn't prevent gameplay. Any black screens or un-fightable NPCs or any other game-hindering bug seemed to be fixed by quicksaving and reloading. Like it "reset" the situation so it could load properly and play the cutscenes. The maps are bugged in some places.
It crashes randomly when going from one area to the next, I noticed the most problems on Coruscant. When I tried to do the Shenna Rand sidequest, it kept screwing up and wouldn't let me go to Mainstreet at all, so I just avoided that quest entirely. Save often, especially before entering new areas.
In the end, don't go into the Engine Room area that you think you're supposed to enter. It creates a black screen and never loads. You're actually supposed to go through one of the side doors in the room, but they look like every other unopenable door, so it's not very clear that you're supposed to go there.

And if you want the LS ending, for my playthrough at least, I had to choose the last dialogue option that says "are you with us." There might be some bugs with the ending dialogue because the wiki says you need a certain number of points to convince Big Bad, and each dialogue option grants you a different number of points. So maybe my previous choices hadn't given me enough points and I softlocked myself.

Either way, the only suggestions I have are switch back to legacy mode, save often, and keep checking the Wiki.

I've played all the way through this mod now, so I'm gonna go ahead and leave my review. As expected from an extremely old mod, it's not perfect, but it's pretty good. Idk diddly squat about modding so I have no idea how much work went into this, but it looks like a lot. So I'm grateful to everyone who worked on it for making their vision for kotor 3 a reality, even in a limited capacity.

I like the writing and dialogue, although the subtitles had several errors which drove me nuts. The dialogue options for the Doctor cracked me up, and I almost wish there were more responses to some of the stupid things I can say. "There is no passion, there is 'naughty time'," or something. And you can say that to a Jedi ghost! And he's just like no that's not correct. Patience of a saint, that one. I tried to play her like a chaotic good gremlin just swinging her pretty lightsabers willy-nilly because this girl has no idea what's happening, she's just along for the ride. This random nerd with a doctorate in bones and dirt wandered into a Sith Tomb and suddenly had a quick lesson by the FREEDON freaking NADD who then sent her on her merry way with a lightsaber. And then she decided she wanted to be a Jedi, and not only did he not care, he told her where to go? And then ULIC QEL-DROMA gave her another speed lesson! She is surrounded by legends, and she doesn't even know. Hilarious.

The characters and voice acting are pretty good, with some exceptions. I would die for Tsig, she is my bestie. Kannos exceeded my expectations, to be honest. Even his voice acting and recording seemed the best. I loved him to the end. The canon characters that returned remained pretty true to their characters, so that was done well. My favorite characters' voice acting/recording were Kannos, Tsig, Kreia, HK-47, Bastila, Shenna Rand (despite being unable to hear much of it due to her quest bugging), and the Sunriders. Revan's voice kept throwing me off because he didn't sound masked, given that he was wearing his mask constantly. But to whoever did the impressions of the canon voices, very good job. :)

Some of the quests were fun, others felt a little draggy. I'm not the most patient person, so I got a little bored wandering around assembling the masters. And I got to help two droids get married, which was great ngl.

Honestly my biggest complaints were regarding some of the voice recording, fights being weird, and the fact that I couldn't choose how the exile looked. She looked different from how I'd pictured and played her, but it's more of a whiny peeve and doesn't really break the immersion much. Some of the voice acting, mainly for droids or masked characters, was text-to-speech, and it could've been improved probably if the mod wasn't... however many years old it is.

The textures and worlds appear to be mostly reskinned vanilla, but I still think it's cool. Some of the maps are bugged or invisible, I'm not sure why. And some of the skyboxes don't look right, so it literally looks like you're in a box. Coruscant was a nightmare to navigate, especially because the map was too buggy to be of any help. I'm directionally challenged in general so there was a lot of trial and error that I didn't have on any other planet. Cool appearance, but my least favorite planet overall. I think my favorite planet was Etti. I was 80% expecting to encounter Portal references on Aperture Station (I am a massive Portal fan), and I'm going to assume Carol was a reference? I hope so.

The fights are sometimes odd. Like some feel almost too easy, and others too difficult. At one point near the end, I was stuck for several minutes just whittling down a storm creature's health with force lightning because none of my lightsaber attacks landed, at all. If I hadn't cheated in KSE to make my characters not die, I think it would've been even harder. But at the same time, none of the fights that should be hard plotwise were that hard. None of the big baddies were immune to Force attacks, and the epic big battles can be easily won with just a few hits or some force storm. And the hoards of screamers and banshees could be downed in one or two hits. That makes them easier to fight in early game before levelling up, but later on they are just like flies.

I got the LS "everyone lives" ending and I quite liked it. I don't know if I'll try to get the other endings later or not. Good mod. I recommend it for a quick way to experience a glimpse of what kotor 3 might be. It's not perfect, but if you're as starved for any kotor material as I am (that's not TOR or related media), then this might help. I would give it a 7/10 cuz I am the target audience. :)
Next I will try out the Revenge of Revan mod.

So I am pretty much at the end, and I am at the part where I'm trying to convince The Bad Guy to sacrifice himself so I can get the good ending, but after I tell him like three things, he says "I... I" and then it acts like it's my turn to speak, but the dialogue box is blank, and I can't progress or save or load or nothing. Only way out is to close the game manually via desktop or task manager. Has anyone found any fixes for this or am I doomed to remain frozen in time ten minutes from saving the universe forever?

Edit: Nevermind, apparently I had to choose a very specific dialogue option to not get softlocked.
For light side ending, instead of saying something about not destroying the galaxy on the last dialogue option, say "are you with us?" and then it should progress. It worked for me at least.

I have the same problem, did you manage to fix it?
I was able to fix it by maaking game steam to legacypc from beta settings
But then I started having resolution problems

Boy what a mess... Yeah, i have the same problem, (likely there should either having needed of some sort of silent voice patch or some audio files don't get installed properly) but then just at the beginning i've got this fight in Onderon with everyone fighting, but nobody hostile, so i'm just stay there looking and doing nothing since in these silly games you can't attack an npc unless the game allows it.
I don't know, but i'm afraid this mod needs a lot of work still.

I played the whole mod. The key is reducing the resolution/reloading the save for those struggling.
I love how Kotor 2 was presented here compared to swtor and I appreciate the use of new characters rather totally relying on the Kotor 1and 2 cast.
My final 2 cents is that this mod can greatly benefit from the new AI voices like ElvenAI and Xvsynth2

I'm sorry but I just can't play this mod. Some character lines work and others just skip ahead really fast for no reason.

because you are using steam version. Revert back to legacypc in betas and it will work.. probably
