Sorry but this mod does not work for me. I try to use the instructions in the readme but since I have steam it does not work,

Hey there, Im not 100% sure it will work with steam, but try to follow all the instructions and try to start the game from its directory and not from steam. meaning, launch steam try and do all the 5 steps and launch the game from the swkotor.exe don't click the "play" from steam and let me know if it works.

BTW you don't need this for steam, steam already has 1080p native in-game resolution. Cheers

You are mostly correct. The Steam/Aspyr version of the game reverts back to standard resolution (Non-Widescreen) while swoop racing. But for the most part you do not need to patch it.

Hello . Trying to use your mod but unfortunately the first step in your txt file has me stumped as i cannot get my default game resolution to find 1280x960.
My only options are 800x600 three times and 1024x768, also, three times in game menu and the same with configuration menu .
Same result after 2 fresh GoG version 1.0B installs.
I have tried to use the rest of the steps with the current, and only two resolutions, available to me and naturally it doesn't work .
Can you possibly tell me what I am doing wrong ?

Ps. Yes I am using a 1080x1920 screen.

    Thank you

    Hello
I think you need to edit the Swkotor.ini file.
Under the [Display Option] change the
    Width from xx to 1920
    Height from xx to 1080

Under the [Graphic Option] change the
    Height from xx to 1080
    Width from xx to 1920

    I hope this helps

Just a heads up, it all work like it should however i keep getting low FPS on the areas where there is smoke/fog... i tried every possible solution, nothing, I even went to steam and bought the game, steam has native 1080p for KOTOR2 so no need for this but its still same as the GOG version, fps goes down to 20s on certain places of the game with smoke/fog. BTW i have a RTX 2080, so i guess its the games engine.

Thanks. This works great for the hud. But how do I get my PC to not look fat? In your screen shot your PC looks normal. Mine looks like a hippo.

I took a screen shot and I don't see any option to upload an attachment here. But the screen shot is narrow compared to what I see on my monitor. The body looks normal, in the screen shot, and the hud is more compressed. The screen shot is being taken at a different resolution that what I'm seeing on my monitor.

I'm running Win 10 with a 3840x2160 4k television. Before I replied to your post I wanted to check one more time to try and figure this out. I went to the WSGF site and re-applied the patch using 1530x864 as they suggested. Nothing changed.

Since I haven't found any posts related to this issue, I'm thinking I'm missing something really stupid. I don't like being stupid, so this is really bugging me.

Ok, speaking of stupidity, I missed a step when I re-applied the patch. In correcting that error, editing the .ini, The game is now offset so my character is towards the right of the screen. This is not a good change, but at least it made a change.

I solved it. I had to change my monitor resolution 1920x1080 and it looks fine. My desktop doesn't look so fine. But now I can play the game.

Thanks for your help and thanks for posting this here. I may not have found any time soon if you hadn't.

OK thats good to hear. this is just for monitors with 1080p, not for 4K monitors, but nonetheless im glad it worked out for u. I dont think this game will look good at 4K anyways. I hope one day they will make a remake of both of them. May the Force be with you.
