   Will this work with the latest Steam version since it modifies the hilts? Apparently lightsaber texture mods won't work.

      I have box version 2.0 of the game, so I can't tell you. If names of model files aren't changed, it should work, but you must try yourself.
      
      Edit: It works for Steam version and I uploaded this mod at Steam Workshop too.
