    I reserve the right to moderate comments on my own mods, including hiding sexist comments from my mods. I WILL block sexist trolls from all my mods, and report sexist trolls for violating Nexus Mods' Forum and Commenting Guidelines.

    I have made my reasons for making this mod very clear in another comment:
    As a woman, I already have to deal with sexism in real life, so I do not need nor want to deal with more sexist nonsense in a video game like KotOR, which is meant to be an escapist fantasy to play for fun. What's worse, the vanilla KotOR game lacks options for the female PC to actually tell those male NPCs to stop flirting with or making sexist comments about her. At most, the game just gives one dialogue option to tell Tanis Venn to stop calling her "darling", but not before he already repeatedly hits on her. This is why I decided to make this mod to remove those sexist dialogues.
    [...]
    I made this mod not only for myself, but also for anyone else who is not comfortable with the sexism in KotOR. I already have players expressing appreciation and gratitude for the existence of this mod after I shared it on social media.

    If you are offended by the idea of mods that remove sexism in video games, it is you who need to reflect on yourself why. THE PROBLEM IS ENTIRELY ON YOU, NOT ME.

    No amount of trolls will stop me from making mods like this. If you do not have anything constructive to say about this mod, simply ignore this mod and move along.

    Really?  A no sexism mod?  That's a bit tame...  Isn't it much more fun to give the sexists dark side replies?  Even a light side female PC can threaten to sit and watch Tanis Venn die of thirst while sipping ice water... and extort credits out of him for fixing his droids.

    Besides, part of what makes the Star Wars universe so compelling is that it's full of diverse characters, including diverse in morality.  I know it's a shame KOTOR doesn't allow you to just murder anyone who offends you, but I think of it as part of a Jedi's character development journey to learn to rise above petty insults.  There is no passion...

      Firstly, there are plenty of ways to create or write evil or jerk characters without using sexism.

      Secondly, I actually play light side characters in the KotOR games mostly, so do not patronise me about how a light side Jedi should act as if I know nothing about the Jedi's philosophy, especially when you just said isn't it much more fun to give sexists dark side replies in your first paragraph, and when these petty insults stem from bigotry and discrimination like sexism which harms real people like me. You're being insensitive and dismissive by quoting a fictional mantra like the Jedi Code out of context to tell a stranger how to deal with bigotry and discrimination that exist in real life and directly affect people like them.

      I made this mod not only for myself, but also for anyone else who is not comfortable with the sexism in KotOR. I already have players expressing appreciation and gratitude for the existence of this mod after I shared it on social media. Your condescending lecture defending the existence of sexism and sexist characters in KotOR and telling me how I should deal with them is not going to change my mind in the slightest about making this mod.

      @facemeltingsolo:

      What does Disney Star Wars have anything to do with this mod? What makes you think that I support Disney? Because I criticise sexism in an old EU material like KotOR and made a mod to combat it, I must be a Disney shill? What kind of logic is this?

      Congratulations on joining my block list. It is clear that you have no interest in understanding where I came from, and you just want to "own" someone whom you (very wrongly) assumed to be a Disney shill.

      My apologies - it genuinely didn't occur to me that encountering sexist NPCs in a videogame might give some players uncomfortable reminders of real world incidents in their lives. I can understand why this mod would be very helpful to them in being able to enjoy KOTOR, and I commend you for making it.  It certainly wasn't my intention to lecture you, sorry if that's what happened.

      I was only considering the mod from a storytelling perspective.  Removing sexism from some NPCs goes against who they are, as it's a very strong character trait for them as people.  Holdan and Tanis for example would never have gotten into the situations the player finds them in if they weren't sexists.

      Further to your remarks in the next post:
      Not sure if this is possible, but an alternative to removing Holdan and Tanis might be to change them from humans to Twi'lek males, change their sound files so they speak in the alien (Huttese?) dialect other Twi'lek NPCs speak, and that would allow you to alter their dialogue text to anything you wanted without creating a dissonance.  Slavery (esp. of females) is normal in Twi'lek culture, and accepted in Lower Taris and on Tatooine, so that would at least provide some background context for their sexist actions towards Dia and Marlena, even though they are human women and not Twi'leks.

      @titus272:

      I'm glad that you are willing to listen and understand my position and apologise for your ignorance.

      I'm aware that in cases like Holdan and Tanis Venn, their sexism is such a core part of their character that it affects other NPCs too. It does not help that these characters have side quests related to them, so players who like to do as many side quests as possible may still want to do those side quests for the rewards.

      When I was working on this mod, I had actually considered removing Holdan and Tanis from the game, but I had the dilemma that doing so would mean I also have to remove Dia and Marlena because, and may need to edit other NPCs' dialogue that mention Holdan and Tanis. Now I'm considering updating my mod to actually add the option to remove those NPCs.

      @titus272:

      Technically, it is possible to do it, but I do not find your idea of changing Holdan and Tanis to Twi'lek men good in any way. Twi'lek slaves are common because Twi'lek women in particular are fetishized by others, and members of other species being xenophobic to Twi'leks, not because slavery is "normal" and inherently part of Twi'lek culture. Slavery is also a very sensitive issue in our real world that should not be handled carelessly.

      I don't find changing Holdan and Tanis to Twi'leks any better than removing their sexist dialogue or removing them from the game completely, so I will not include your idea into my mod.
