To preface, I'm extremely inexperienced when it comes to modding games, but I was able to get this up and running for the most part. The problem I ran into is the HUD problem, where its oriented around the top left quadrant of the screen. I found that others have had the problem in the past and I even looked at the "HUD fix" on Xuul's youtube tutorial, but you already included that with this mod.

If you have a 1080p and follow the steps everything should work fine, however if ur monitor is 4K or higher than the 1080p you have to change the monitors resolution to 1080p.

Im having the same problem, I don't see the lower half of the screen and parts of the right side. Im using a laptop that has a 1080p screen (I made sure in settings). Any ideas on how to fix this?

Pixiesticks123, I had the same problem. It's a scaling issue. Your PC is detecting that KOTOR is a low DPI game and trying to stretch it to fit the screen. Go to the .exe, right click on it, properties, compatibility, "Change High DPI Settings", "Override High DPI Scaling Behavior. Scaling performed by,", drop down to "application."

That will tell your PC to use the scaling properties of KOTOR (which are none) instead of your PC (which is probably above 100%). That should fix the issue and keep you from having to change your system's scaling settings every time you want to play. Hope that helps!

For anyone seeking a solution to the "camera centered on upper-right corner-issue", I can comfirm Tshep117's solution did it for me. Do keep in mind you have to apply the new settings before closing the settings window.

@Tshep117 thanks mate ^^, wherever you may be nowadays, may the force be with you.

So does this actually work? It seems to look no different vs the 800x600 screen. I installed with the nexus mod manager.

Is there any way I can make the HUD bigger as it is quite small and the text is also very small making it hard to read.

Seems to work fine for me, with one odd hitch: when I select new game, just before the opening movie, the game boots me back to Windows, and I have to click KotOR's taskbar icon to get back into the game itself. It picks up immediately from the start of the opening movie as if nothing happened, though. Minor annoyance and probably an issue for people who want to video capture or stream the game... like me.

Kinda late on this, but for anyone curious, it's because the video files are in a different resolution from the game, so the game is trying to switch resolutions. On newer systems this will boot you out of the game and make you ALT+TAB back to it. This indeed will happen on unmodified games as well, so it has nothing to do with this mod.

So I've been trying to get this to work, my HUD is now just outside the screen, cutting off the bottom and side of my character portrait. I've double checked and I've followed every step. I've been playing with the Uniws patcher and nothing is setting it in place, it's either cut off or in the top half of my screen

Is this mod not compatible with the Kotor 1.2 Restoration mod? and if so how do I unbreak it

Sorry if this is dumb, when I download it it downloads as a 7z file type. How do I get it to be correct?

You've probably figured it out by now, but for anyone else who sees this - the 7z file type means that the file is compressed (like clothes inside of a suitcase as opposed to lying around everywhere: it makes it easier for the files to "travel around"), all you need to do to uncompress them is download a program such as Winrar or 7zip, which will allow you to right click the file and uncompress/extract it. Once they are uncompressed, the files will work like any other file on your computer!

      Hope this helps

Yeah, its always okay to ask questions, but we all must further the pursuit of furthering everyones knowledge, 7-Zip/Win-rar are their own things entirely that you should look up right now and familiarize yourself with if you are ever going to be user-end modding. Not being a dick at all, i hate when i dont know something and someones liek "well did you look it up hurrr" like stfu dude. nah, thats not what im doing to you, just look up 7zip and winrar and familiarize yourself with them in general, youre going to be unzipping/unpacking files until the cows come home if you wanna mod.

Any way to make the HUD work for 1600x900? Any settings i can change? I get the game to work just fine, but the HUD ( Once I add the Affinity files to Override) goes off the screen

    Thank you!!
