I've always been of the opinion that roleplay and gameplay should be separate things, and forcing gameplay effects through dialogue (besides things like extra enemies, or in-game consequences due to your choices) make me feel like I'm forced into dialogue neither me nor my character would necessarily choose just so I could maximize the points (same with Mass Effect's Paragon/Renegade system and, to a lesser extent, the stat bonus for companions from affection in Dragon Age Origins). This helps with that, thank you.
Tell me about it, I think Mass Effect is worse, especially 2 and 3, because the speech options are locked behind the morality system. At least in KOTOR I could put it on easy or something, bump up my speech and just choose whichever options I want
That was posted before the Legendary Edition came out, so ME2 in particular still had the big issue of mixing Paragon and Renegade making you unable to perform some checks while still resetting your moralities.
Dude. Dude. This is exactly what I have been scouring the net for. Now I can use the cool DS powers without playing a psychotic idiot that could put Hitler off of his lunch! You rule!
I always thought it was really stpid that you had to be evil to have good attacking force powers last more than few shots and good to not deplete your force points with 2-3 heals in a fight....

Good on ya for making this!
Also Carth's grin will probably haunt my nightmares tonight. And I'm just about to go to sleep, too!
