I decided to try this rebalance over the kotor 2 style rebalance and I'm insanely disappointed.

As stated previously, you give every companion God tier gear and multiple copies of it so you have the option to cheese the entire game or have near infinite funds if you sell it all.

I only held onto the gear for this crystal caves boss to see if you had this fight in mind when "balancing." You didn't. You didn't have anything in mind besides basically blocking off the ability to get crystals when you first arrive at dantooine, and arguably forever without the use of your overpowered gear.

High hp, fine. High damage, fine. High enough defenses so he basically can't be stunned, whatever. But adding in an infinite healing item on top of all of that is actually insulting.

I wish I read these comments before I started this save with your mod. I never would have if I did.

I'm cheating my way through this boss fight, selling all the gear and finishing this playthrough, but I will absolutely delete this mod once I'm done and will in no way endorse it.

This mod apparently needs a TSL patcher or some shit. So I tried installing it, but it didn't work, and apparently, the mod is supposed to already have it? So do I download it or not?

If vortex isn't letting you install a mod that says it needs tsl just right click and select unpack as is (pretty sure thats what the button is). That should work

if anyone wants to see the proof, I'm leaving here the shared print?

from what I've been reading from the comments, there are many people who can't kill this crystal cave boss.

In case you want to try this madness (I just managed to kill him with only the items from the mod and game itself)

I recommend being at MINIMUM at lv 15 and with the mystery equipment.

Have someone with master strong attack, you have Master Flurry, and a well-equipped jedi or optional character (recommend jedi)

Have the character with strong attack with the master speed skill and if you want to go faster, your mc is also with master speed or the drugs.
after all this be patient because this fight can take a while due to the infinite healing that the enemy has and if you are right, it is possible to poison him to make it easier.

(In my case I built my mc to use 2 sabers and I didn't look at any tutorial, being totally blind)

Just from reading the details I can tell this isn't a rebalancing mod of any kind, this is 'super-easy game' mod. Pass. Game is already easy enough as it is.

Is there any way you can create a file that's just the gear? I love the early power boost. Great for replaying the game and getting through Taris faster. But I don't want to have to fight the Ops Boss if I don't want to. Please, if you can create a file that's just the gear that would be really awesome.

Well, it's as I feared: this mod absolutely destroys the game balance and makes it a complete snooze-fest. All of the companion-added items are total god-tier items and make the entire game a breeze even on Difficult; I'm talking about like 30-40 defense on a pre-Jedi character still on Taris god-tier, dishing out 40+ damage a hit. Absolutely bonkers, mate. Those are typical endgame-ish numbers, dude. And not only do these items on their own completely ruin the game balance, but the fact is you give us between 3-6 of each, which also translates into every party member getting god-tiered out by level 5 and also having enough left over to sell for practically infinite credits. I mean, what's the point of even playing like this? It makes every drop/build/rare item moot/useless because I can have a Jedi Consular that starts as a Scout with 8 STR still hit 25+ just with your items alone, and be able to out DPS a normally geared Solider/Guardian spec with normal in-game items. It's a total cluster fuck. And then on top of it all you add a boss to the Crystal Caves that's got 3k hp and hits like the Death Star for absolutely no sensible reason other than you could. It's clear you never stopped to ask yourself why. The Crystal Caves is an essential aspect of the natural character development/story progression because those crystals are supposed to set you up for when you finally leave Dantooine. Why would you add a level 50 NPC to a level 5 story area? Why not tuck him in one of the countless unused, blank corners of the Dantooine map and let players try him on when they think they're ready, as opposed to blocking an essential progression area? Yeah, you can run Solo Mode and kite him with Force Speed and clear the caves out without fighting him, but that's a total chore and god forbid you want to re-roll the pre-cave save for better crystal drops because your "Ops Boss" turns it into a boring grind having to kite him around and avoid him, rather than just going through some kinrath as normal.

Sure, you've clearly demonstrated you have technical ability to produce a mod; s#*!, I've made a dozen TSL mods for myself just for the fun of it. However, it's clear you're totally lost when it comes to balancing.

I just can't endorse this mod as is: it's a total balance bomb and completely throws the game on its ass, in a bad way.

For those of you curious for a new playthrough experience, you can try it for some novelty but be forewarned your entire roster of companions and your character will be absolutely twinked out beyond reason by the time you clear the Black Vulkar base to the point nothing you will ever encounter will be a challenge - I mean I one-shot the Sith Governor on Difficult from one rotation of each party member... that fight is supposed to be a challenge...and Bendak Starkiller couldn't even land a shot on my WIS+CHAR specced Scout because her defense alone was 34 just from the items you add to the game.

With some honest tailoring/hard work this mod could be totally epic.

If you do anything at least move the Crazed Sith Apprentice boss to outside of the Crystal Cave to some random corner so players can get their color crystals and few power crystals in peace.

It's actually worse than you think. The level 50 "Ops Boss" has one more trick up it's sleeve. An infinite use healing item, that the boss himself uses. I beat him. I kitted out bastila and carth with the full modified engame sets they get when you recruit them, and the only way I could win was spamming force whirlwind to infinite CC-lock him so he couldn't use his infinite heal. The gear is overkill for anything but endgame as far as I can tell. I haven't used it for anything but the "Ops Boss" You also get 2 sets per character, free credits yo.

Hi, I downloaded this mod sometime ago but I'm not sure if its activated or not. Where am I supposed to get this OP gear for my characters at? I could really appreciate the help, thank you. :)

Would be nice to have the codes for the gear added in at the very near end of the game, so I can have it at the beginning or whatever. I mean, I've already beaten the game several times w/o the gear and once with it after getting it at the end, would be nice to have it through the whole game though.

From what I'm gathering, other than the super powerful boss in the Dantooine caves, this game significantly alters the balance by the removal of so many restrictions (whether alignment/level,etc.) and the inclusion of tons of OP items to the point it sounds like it'll be a complete cake walk. Do you increase the difficulty of the game as well alongside all these basically god-tier items you add and the removal of so many important restrictions and ceilings? I'm gonna do a playthrough and test it out, obviously, but I"m already apprehensive that this'll turn the game into a cluster fuck. It looks like you put a lot of time into it but it doesn't sound balanced at all on paper. Let's see how it goes, though.

Should I play the game on "normal" difficulty or pump it up to "difficult"? Or do you alter the difficulty through your mod yourself, and I should leave the difficulty at "normal" as to not skew anything to totally insane proportions?

At this point you may as well move the OPS boss, it's insanely difficult this early on in the game and you're only given one lightsaber if you don't have Bastila or Juhani.

It also makes getting the crystals early very difficult.
