As of today, the pak error still happens...
    Any news on fixing this?

Maybe I'm stupid, but everytime I run SwapToPreordained.exe, the patch_0.pak just vanishes... And when I put it into data again manually, the game just crashes upon loading
Any idea what I could be doing wrong?

I'm having the exact same problem! When I run SwapToPreordained.exe the command window pops up with a bunch of text but closes very quickly so I can't read all of it.  I did catch the words "Unhandled exception" at the top though.  It immediately deletes patch_0.pak, and I have to verify files to get it back.   Once I get patch_0.pak back I can launch the game again, although of course the new armor design doesn't show up.  Any help would be appreciated!  I'd love to be able to get this working.

I haven't tried it with the newest version of the game. I'll have to see if it's an issue.

Awesome, thanks.  Let me know if there's anything I can do to help track down the error.

I have all prerequisites installed it just stalls
(Figured it out had to activate it in windows features under optional features)
    It's technically called .net 4.8

Two great things about this mod:
    1) I get an appearance upgrade with the new tier of crafting.
    2) It actually now makes sense when every second NPC in Crownhold has dialogue that mistakes me for a Preordained.

    :p

    Great work again, thanks.
