Adjust the ingame gamma. HDR whether through this or windows itself, has that effect of becoming darker when enabled. What resolution are you using? You can also try the alternate one here https://www.nexusmods.com/kingdomsofamalurrereckoning/mods/25
So,I just created a detailed tutorial video on how to install a Reshade. I`ve done this, since many of my downloaders dont know how to do so. I experienced that media is easier to consume than reading an instruction,so I thought I might share this video on different Reshades. Maybe you (the Mod creator) wants to pin it or add it to video section, for easier access :) If you dont like the video, feel free to delete this post :)
i just bought KOA-re reconing today from steam. and I want to use your mod. I'm interested after seeing it on your YouTube channel. and I think this is going to be great.
but first I want to ask. is there a minimum spec for this mod to work properly?
Hi, The only requirement is your video card supports all of Direct3D 9, Direct3D 10, Direct3D 11, Direct3D 12, OpenGL and Vulkan. And a computer with Windows 7 SP1, 8.1 or 10 and .NET Framework 4.5 or higher installed is required. Fairly basic requirements.
They use fairly similar settings, both being based off the SweetFX. You can swap the settings files out and switch them with others also. Or modify it if you like. If you need help with anything, just let me know. Send me a PM if you like.
Getting a massive block of red error, failed to load text once I import the ENB files and run the game.
Reshade seems to have no issues and I confirmed it's running after dropping those in and launching the game.
Followed the install video exactly. In that video, it's glossed over that you are dropping the same SweetFX folder from both Reshade and ENB, so you are prompted with a replace file option (at least I was). Skipping or replacing still gave me the red text error upon launching with both installed.
Actually the sweetfx from the reshade is version 2.0 and the one with the ENB is 1.5.1 You cannot overlap the sweetfx's or it will not work properly. Are you attempting to use it with the original game or the new re-reckoning? If it is the new re-reckoning then the reshade with sweetfx is setup for that one. The enb version is for the original one as noted at the start of my description notes. You should only need to rename the d3d9.dll file to dxgi.dll with the reshade version. Also have you updated the reshade, using any reshade update after version 3.4.1 will not function properly and give you a red text error. Make sure to use the recommended versions on the mod for updating. Gimme a message back and I'll see if I can help you sort your issue out.
Thanks for the feedback! I just dropped in the Reshade and removed the ENB files. Not sure if that will fix the issues by just not importing the ENB files since you mentioned that is out of date? Or should I just drop everything BUT the ENB's sweetfx folder?
Ok the original game. Either version should work fine. You just want to add one or the other, not a mixed between the two downloads.
If you want to use the ENB with sweetfx version, just use it's files that are contained in it's download. If it's the reshade with sweetfx version, same thing, only it's files are to be placed in the game folder. The install video is actually just showing the two different installs, not a mixed install of the two. I delete the one fully before doing the second.
So to just sum it up, if you want the enb with sweetfx version, only place it's files and if you decide to switch to the reshade with sweetfx version, delete all the files from the enb with sweetfx version before placing the Reshade with sweetfx version, or vis versa And if you use the reshade version, don't use the reshade update on it, first try it as it is.
It never has effected achievements before. As far as I know the only Game Producer to do something like that is Bethesda. Although even the Bethesda games don't view this type of setup as a mod.

Yes this will apply to all game content, including dlc's.

Is this compatible with Re-Reckoning? previous file was like around march same year, with re-reckoning on file name of that mod
The ENB with Sweetfx is for the original which used DX9.
The reshade with sweetfx is for the newer one as it's DX11.
You want to use the reshade with sweetfx, and add the newer preset to it.
The two marked Re-Reckoning.
You can swap the settings files out and switch them with others also.
Or modify it if you like.
