It's actually a pretty surreal experience. Sora and Kairi frequently swap models during the Destiny Islands cutscenes, pretty much anytime a camera angle shifts lol
Just figured out how to install and figured I'd help my fellow Nobody's.
1: Download the KHPCPatchManager. 2: Open the manager and hit "Select Patch" 3: Find the Kairi mod, which you should have extracted and found the "Playable_KH1/2/3_Kairi.kh1pcpatch" file. 4: Hit "Apply patch" and then find the folder location for where the game is, click on the "Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX" folder and then hit "Ok" at the bottom of the patcher. It should take a bit, but eventually, boom. Now Kairi saves the day.
About Kairi's cutscenes model and keyblades, it is not possible yet to change those on the PC version so they are still unchanged
About Kairi's voice, I hav no Idea what you mean, she does have her voice
About Kairi's Animations, Sadly while Custom Animations are possible, the moveset of Sora (or Kairi in this mod) is still subjected to the PS2's ram limitation, meaning that even using one custom animation result in the game crashing and disfunctioning in most of the game's room, so I have to scrap them and resolve to keep Sora's animations
I ran the standard playable KH1 kairi patch through the patch loader, (albiet without the LUA mod, since I failed to notice it) and then ran the KH2 voice patch, but decided I disliked the KH2 voice and so simply reran the original patch. The game was running fine until I reached Traverse Town, and upon trying to enter the 2nd district for the first time, it crashed, and does so repeatedly when trying to load that cutscene. I'm currently reverting to the original files (which I only seem to be able to do by reinstalling the entire 1.5+2.5 collection?) and plan to run just the KH1 patch and the LUA. Will this solve the issue, and is a crash expected on trying to overwrite one of the voice patches with the original patch?
This is a really awesome mod! My only gripe with it so far is her Terra-esque dash, which isn't as graceful as the dodge roll. Is there a possibility you can speed it up like her dash in KH3RM or at the very least have a separate patch that keeps dodge roll intact?
I put the code into the OpenKH mod manager and it keeps booting up KH2 regardless of the ISO I have selected, and I can't seem to find a mod manger specifically for the first game or anything. I'm not sure what to do here
A version that keeps all attack animations, dodge rolls, etc. the same as the original would be great for races and speedruns. Great mod as usual though, keep up the great work!
kh1pcpatch files are just zip files in disguise, you can open it with any tool that open zip files and delete all the files ending by .mset inside Then you have a patch but that doesn't have the custom mset. It is worth noting that changing the character size has some influence over how some animation plays, so I'll recomand not using the .lua file that resize Kairi if your plan is to speedrun

itd be cool to hear her talk and shake herself during the cutscene when fighting Riku/Ansem during the opening of the Door to Darkness.

And is it easy to change or does the patch have to be reapplied to?

Will it work fine to just patch over the same files?
In my case I don't plan to speedrun, but wonder if I can revert just the aerial attacks.
