I was doing a thing for myself, and ended up spending way too much time looking into this recolor business more, so if anyone cares about it in the future, here's two additional tips The main portrait is in bbs_first/remastered/arc_en/pc/p02menu.arc (or I guess whatever language you're using) The helmetless armor aqua used in gameplay for the final two fights is in bbs_third/remastered/arc/pc/p42base.arc
All the colourful aquas use uncensored as a base texture. If you use aqua uncensored after this mod you'll end up with the default aqua colour uncensored
Is there anywhere I can go to find a guide to making a custom recolour? I'm really interested in this project, but am struggling to wrap my head around it.
I'm assuming you don't mean the short guide I have in the description, If you mean "how to colour them" or what programs to use or a more step by step guide, I'm not sure there's one that exists, but I can make one if that's what you need
I've re-read the short guide, but I just don't know what programs and such to use as you said. So if you'd be willing to take the time to maybe make one, I'd appreciate it. But if it's too much/takes too much time to do, don't do it. It's all up to you, and your effort making this mod is more than enough effort than anyone could ask for imo <3

Trying to make my own texture pack and I'm having problems. I edited the exploded assets, each file has been put inside the same folder as the "All the Aqua BBS - Uncensored" folder and it's still got BBS First to Fourth. I zip the folder, change the ending of the filename to ".bbspcpatch" and the KH Patch Manager still treats it like a zip folder and will not patch anything. This is what I get when I try to use my new textures.
KHPCPatchManager v1.0.4 - Drop a .hed file to unpack the associated .pkg file - Drop a .pkg file and its unpacked folder to patch it - Drop a folder(s) (extracted .pkg format) to create a kh1pcpatch, kh2pcpatch or a bbspcpatch - Drop a kh1pcpatch, kh2pcpatch or a bbspcpatch to patch your .pkgs
yeah it seems with the newest update on it you now have to drag the folder onto the patch manager and it will do something entirely different to make it into a patch, even though both files can be opened the same. The old way doesnt seem to work anymore for no good reason.
Welcome to a new era of this mod, an era in which I looked at the files of the mods and after a month they all finally work in game now like I originally intended.
It's fixed now, you'll have to redownload the rainbow file and patch the new one, I just somehow missed the file for her in game skin. Please tell me if you find any others not working as intended!
So I downloaded the new Rainbow Color Mod and it gave me this, even on a fresh install of the game with nothing on it. Only the original version of the Rainbow Mod from before worked. I thought it was maybe conflicting with a different mod, but it really isn't the case.
very weird, I tried it myself and it wouldnt work, but when I repacked it it did, even though both files held the same contents. I don't know why, but the new version should work, it worked on my game.
Been waiting for more recolors of Aqua! Glad this game has finally gotten it (Especially Red!). Would be awesome to see this in 0.2 since Aqua is the main playable character in that game.
Well if you wanna change the eyes, I left a pretty decent guide as to how to make the small edit yourself, and as for the 0.2 thing (for this comment and the other one) I will look into it when I get to playing 0.2/kh3 again, I'm going in order and enjoying the games again xd
