With your high-end settings do you crash at San Fransokyo? I get an out of video memory crash. I'm on a RTX 4090 with 32GB. When loading, it doesn't show my RAM spiking up or anything.
Thanks you so much for this, but how you manage to "somehow" edit the .ini files with this? Usually UE4 games does have Engine.ini that can be tweak but KH3 sadly doesn't :(
Also here is a pakchunk99- folder with all my changes to the DefaultEngine.ini and DefaultInput.ini. This includes the mouse acceleration fix I uploaded and this SSR mod. My changes in the DefaultEngine.ini start at line 3112 and end at 3193. You can ctrl+f //Nhod to skip to that part. It hasn't been .pak'd up yet so you can view the settings and make changes if you want. The second link is it pak'd up and ready to go.
Enjoy, let me know if you find some other fancy command that changes how the game looks substantially. I think r.MaxQualityMode=1 pretty much sets everything to max already though.
Sure thing, i've been trying a lines that i usually tries in most UE4 tittles , lucky me it does work on this game too ( in some game it doesn't)
r.Shadow.FilterMethod=1 (ShadowFilter tend to simulate"soft" distant shadows and "sharper" for closed ranged shadows. Only realtime rendering shadows, not baked one or whatever is the name of it, i also recommend the Max setting for the shadow when using that method & TXAA because of the way the tech is working that will make the shadows ditheringand not FXAA+TXAA which useFXAA during gameplay & TXAA during cutscene, i mean everyone should play with the TXAA i see no reason not to do so ) So here's the image to show the tech: https://imgur.com/s4wtjMW
I also set r.Shadow.DistanceScale=0.8 ( closed ranged shadow looks a bit "sharper" ) r.Shadow.CSM.TransitionScale=0.5 r.Shadow.MaxCSMResolution=4096 r.Shadow.MaxResolution=4096 r.Shadow.MinResolution=4096 r.AmbientOcclusionRadiusScale=0.5 r.DefaultFeature.MotionBlur=True ( Because i like MB XD) r.MotionBlur.Amount=0.75 r.MotionBlur.Max=0.75
Very nice! I'll try those out. Can't believe how bad TXAA + FXAA looks. The game reset my settings after installing the latest nvidia drivers and it was so jaggy looking.
I agree, that's the way it was design for console to save on some performance i guess, but i mean c'mon pc can do TXAA or should i say TAA ,every youtube video i've seen from the pc game they all use the basic fxaa+txaa , gosh
Haha, it really does nuke your fps in some places. The second Darkubes fight had me at 30fps with it on with my 1080 Ti / 1440p res. Felt absolutely terrible but it looked nice

Then you can tweak values to your liking and use UnrealPak to package them up as mods. Feel free to message me on discord or on here if you need help!
