Sorry, but I don't know exactly what is causing all the crashes. However, there is an update in the works, and it should be coming out (very) soon. So, if you're not already tracking this mod, I highly recommend doing so.
The mod is pretty good and works well with Equinox. Tho a small thing to point out the way Riku in Punisher mod attacks with Braveheart he swings it as if he's hitting everyone with the flat side of the keyblade. While not too noticable during combat it looks alittle weird.
This sounds promising! But let me get this straight. So this functions like an alternate moveset which you can activate by pressing triangle while he's still and locked onto something only with braveheart? It only works with that keyblade right? And it won't work while he is airborne or whitout locking, right? And why you need the project equinox voicepatch? It won't work without it?
1) It only works with Braveheart. And no, it won't work while he's airborne or without locking onto something. 2) I mean, you could just not use the voicepack, but you'll probably hear some of Sora's lines instead of Riku's. The voice patch expands how many grunts and battle quotes Riku has.
1) Ok, thanks, I will try it then. 2) Yeah, but my playtrough with Riku right now is in the caribbean and it seems that the voicepack has problem in that world (The game crashed in a cutscene) and after removing it, I didn't have problems.
I really like the moveset a lot and I think it gives Braveheart a lot of usage with it but if I could make a few subjections
1. the triple slash has a bad habit of launching small to human size enemies up in the air and forcing you to do a air attack and complete negate you from doing the shortcut finishers
and 2. the timing to see the shortcut finishers is a bit too fast and would leave you unable to use one of them. if it could be possible to add a slow motion effect when in the shortcut finishers to select which one you want much easier
that's all I have so far from the hour or so of tying this out. I do plan on doing a playthrough with this and ill add more if I find anything else I would add here
(and if your against or have any reasons to not add this or if this were intentional I would love to hear the reason but if not that's completely alright I just thought i would add my thoughts of this fantastic mod and keep up the good work)
I do plan on refining things here and there and maybe even adding some functionalities like different combo modifiers or something. But yeah, thank you for pointing these things out! I'll be honest, I was aware of the shortcut pop-ups being a little too tight in terms of triggering the attacks tethered to it. But as of right now, I have no idea how to fix it. (Once I do though, that'll be at the top of my to-do list.)
I'm happy to hear that. I think KurasaNick is implementing something like that in their next update of the Young Xehanorth mod (i believe they talk about it in their latest update video) but hey take your time and I happily await for any updates you have for this or any other mod you have for this
the moves are ported well but its hard to use these practically if that makes sense, especially with being vulnerable during the special punisher attacks. Only bug I came across was sometimes when landing in punisher mode riku stays in the air. Really interesting to play around with!
I understand what you're saying. If it's any consolation, I do plan on tinkering with a few things here and there with this moveset, to try and make it more... user-friendly, I guess? More intuitive?
