Hey everyone sorry for over a year with no updates but really wanted to come back to this with what I hope is a much more refined experience (plus actually on Steam).
Will be hoping to release and update to this soon along with something else to help make the game more interesting to play in a way that doesnt disrupt the base game. Stay tuned!
I'd absolutely kill for even a text document on how to change the costs of Form Changes and Grand Magic so I can really tweak the mod to my preferences just because theres really no mod out there that brings back the resource management of forms like this does.
I don't know if it's a bug but If I use keyblade transformations and airstep, the meter doesn't get consumed. Note that I used the mod on a brand new playthrough.
I love this mod in concept. Even having a little resource management with situation commands will add new layers to new playthroughs.
It seems like it behaves weird with 2.9 (as expected, tbh) like situations still cost FP while the focus gauge isn't visible yet.
The FP popup looks cool too! It does look like Sora is able to push it around though? Just a weird quirk I caught while testing it out.
But also, it sadly seems like mods like Animation Overhaul and maybe even LvD might be incompatible due to custom form change finishers. The new finisher for Heroes Origin that Animation Overhaul introduced is a good example of a new finisher that breaks. Doesn't apply the cost to the Focus meter and causes some weird behavior.
It's a shame, I'd love to be able to use these mods together.
Yeah I really tried to force the focus bar to be visible but 2.9 is SO weirdly coded compared to rest. Every character seems to access the same gif texture (makes sense it’s all the same) but different pawns seems to gain or lose access to it depending on some arbitrary event I have no idea.I’ll keep an eye out for it when I make an update though. Definitely gonna see what I can do about tweaking compatibility as well. The Shield finisher is labeled uniquely from the others in the game for some reason so it might be an easy fix if it’s JUST that finisher but it depends how they implemented the new finishers
