Is there any way to make it so that pieces that you're working on cool down slower? That's honestly my biggest qualm, cause I find it annoying to have to reheat often, and the only compromise I've found is to use something that let's me finish the work faster. But I'd rather work for a vanilla amount of time and maybe only reheat once sometimes.
I mean, once you get high enough crafting skill (and vitality) you can easily forge a complete item in one heating cycle. It's not very difficult to do. You can use mods, but the point is that you have to actually practice and improve your skills to get easier times and better results. As you say, you can use the mod, but I suspect you aren't heating your iron as hot as you need to as well. The "ideal temp" is really just anything below sparks. The hotter you get it the longer it lasts.
There's a mod already that caps the heat on iron, so it never goes past the point it starts burning, any chance you can make a similar mod, but faster heating? x2, 3, 4, ect. Thank you very much!
Not sure why but the mod does not seem to change the time spent forging at all. I tried different x amounts, and changing it's placement in the load order. No matter what setup i have forging still takes just as long as vanilla ;~;
Could you rather make a mod which goes the other way? smithing and sharpening is already vastly simplified compared to rl, and I would like to see it move a bit towards realism.
Since this reduces the amount of hammering needed, does it also have an affect on the quality you produce in the end? Can you wind up with the lowest quality on your finished product because you aren't hammering as much as the base game?

Thanks for the mod anyway.
