Just a few lines to add to your user.cfg, to enable you to quickly and easily adjust basic display parameters that instantly transform the colour/brightness of the game.
Also has an option to adjust Henry's jump height slightly
I wish Nexus had an ini/config section as I feel dirty calling this a mod 🤮
here's some extra commands I'm using in my user.cfg
r_gamma ( to add to contrast/brightness controls )
r_HDRBloom ( turning it off really helps , I hate fullscreen bloom ) r_HDRVignetting ( normal corner vignettes )
if using DLSS you can also adjust "r_SuperResolution_Sharpness" over the engine sharpness.
e_svoTI_Saturation ( this will increase the ambient light , makes things look "more blue" in the process ) e_svoTI_SSAOAmount ( increases Ambient occlusion SSAO ) e_svoTI_DiffuseAmplifier ( increases light , good for increasing night time visibility , but can fade shadows during day ) r_ssdoAmountAmbient ( more AO SSDO strength ) r_ssdoRadiusMin ( minimum value where SSDO is applied ) r_ssdoRadiusMax ( maximum value where SSDO is applied )
r_DeferredShading3PL ( set to 0 turns off character rim lightning ) from here
wh_e_VerticalLightCulling ( set to 2 seems to fix z-axis light culling ) from here
r_volumetricFogSunLightCorrection ( enables/disables terrain fog ) from here r_VolumetricFogMinimumLightBulbSize ( controls inner fog from lights ) avoid disabling "e_fog" since it ruins some other stuff ( like water )
r_ShadowJitteringMultiplierWH ( messes with shadow jitter , making shadows sharper with lower values )
opening up \engine\engine.pak and navigating to \config\CVarGroups\ should also give you a few values that are tweaked with the game graphical settings.
You can also run a comand like "r_contrast ?" and it will give you an explanation of what that value does :)
Hope you find nice things to share and at least some of these are usefull

👆 Love this!
Nice list 👍 Yeah I've been playing with the console commands as if it was premium Kingdom Come Deliverance II DLC lol
I played with some of the svoTI commands the other day but for some reason they dont seem to activate on launch through the user.cfg 🤷♂️ Shame because a slight negative e_svoTI_Saturation value gives the game a nice warm, more medieval vibe. Tried in an autoexec.cfg and directly in shortcut target to no avail. Have you found a way other than entering them in console?
my user.cfg has binds on my "F keys" so I can switch between "default" and "modded"
Like for example
Bind F4 exec moddedSSAO Bind F5 exec defaultSSAO
and I drop the cfg files with the default values and my altered ones and I can switch them around while playing , update , save , and re-press key.
This should help a lot "comparing" values back and forward.
Send you my files in pm as an example, this helps a lot comparing stuff and detecting what is breaking what. although since "changing values" of "e_ViewDistRatioVegetation" and "e_MergedMeshesViewDistRatio" sometimes messes up ( and grass disapears ) I keep those in user.cfg
I wanted to use e_svoTI_Saturation = -1.200 (makes it warmer instead of blue and cold )but it just doesnt load for me from the user.cfg, but if i type the exact same thing in the console it works fine 🤷♂️
This may sound like a strange request but I kinda like Bloom, Fog and DOF. 😁
I would non-ironically (also out of curiosity) love to maximize it to its full potencial - making ideally Bloom, Fog and DOF everywhere and closer to you than it already is.
I would love to make it look like Oblivion, I already use AcesLights LUT - makes wonders.
Well, would you please check it out and recommend me the correct commands? Yes, it's a sin but nonetheless - an interesting request.

THIS IS NOT A RESHADE PRESET

Even e_svoTI_Saturation?
try an extreme value like "40"
Can change sun shafts
Can change clouds
Can change sun shadows
But havent found anything yet for the size of the actuual sun

open console
type
r_HDRDebug = 1
Need to see what your settings look like in daytime and nightime?
9am
e_timeofday = 9
9pm
e_timeofday = 21
Yeah gotta admit I was a tiny bit proud 😂
