I forgot to mention that you need to add '-devmode' to the game launch options. My apologies. For those who had it not working, please enable devmode and try again. It's possible that devmode isn't enabled, especially if you are launching the game through Vortex. To check, bring up the in-game console by pressing the backtick key `(~), and then enter wh_pl_RandomEventsCooldownsEnabled. If the value returned is '0', then the mod is properly functioning
Downloads a mod to have more encounters, than complaints that It's too much... Go download a mod that adds less and install both and see what happens haha.
Does this block the "planned" random encounters that happend? cause people said it did but that a while ago and not sure if it does, would anyone know or the author?
I love the concept, but having no cooldown at all makes encounters a bit too frequent for my taste. Hoping you or someone else figures out how to just reduce the cooldown in the near future, as I feel like even being able to skip the encounters with 100% effectiveness would still be a bit too much for me. I appreciate the effort nonetheless.
I'm happy with the frequency of meetings, every time something happens, it's interesting and makes the world come alive. You can just walk past an oncoming traveler or bandit. I think there is no need to shorten anything or at least leave the version as it is or even make the meetings EVEN BIGGER!
I disagree. finding people, especially bandits, every 300 meters breaks the realism, especially in a setting where it is repeatedly stated that the woods and countryside are dangerous, leading common people to avoid them and stay within settlements. I would appreciate an increased cooldown to reduce encounters by at least 30%. Alternatively, the best option would be to keep the number of encounters the same but make them 1/3 bandits and 2/3 peaceful NPCs during the day, and 1/3 peaceful NPCs and 2/3 bandits at night.
Bro, it's a game, and if it doesn't entertain me and there are empty roads in my path, then the game loses interest in me. And considering that there is a war in the game, it is not surprising that I meet marauders, bandits and mercenaries on my way. If you are annoyed by the number of NPCs or meetings, you can just pass by, than constantly jump on empty paths. And I am not even talking about the fact that meetings are the only entertainment after the endgame that can amuse. The more meetings, the better I hone my weapon skills and pump up the skills I need. Can understand people who want to see fewer enemies in the game. A casual mod would be nice for them.
I understand your point, but I appreciate more the feeling that danger might be there rather than the certainty that I will find it. And it would seem more realistic to face more dangers at night than during the day. That said, I’ll still use this mod because it definitely improves the base game a lot.
Your point of view reminds me of the game "Escape from Tarkov" where one serious danger can create a serious problem for you. And I absolutely agree with you with the mod the game has become more interesting and alive And if you liked the mod, support it by putting 👍,I think the author will be pleased for the work he has done.

for some reason i cant get it to work with latest version :( i have devmode active, tried all possible way to make it work but it seems i am missing something :(
This mod is great, but.... and there is a but... I feel that the random encounters with this mod are too frequent, just a little too frequent for my taste. If that could be pulled back a little then that would be really great. Thank you.
Can you make it so certain types of encounters are more frequent, like guards fighting bandits? Most are all just bandits looting, whereas I like to help the guards out and stuff.
