This mod has stopped working in version 1.2 of KCD2, but to get it working again, all you need to do is open the "mod.manifest" file in a text editor and delete these lines: <supports> <kcd_version>1.1.*</kcd_version> </supports>
Not an ideal solution, but I much more prefer this than infuriatingly having to press shift every 7-8 seconds and constantly hearing YAGH/QUICK. Such a needless change from 1 where the gallop was constant as long as the horse had stamina.
The mod description said that it increases the horse's resolve. Does that also mean that the horse will no longer randomly buck and throw Henry when at a distance galloping away from a group of enemies? Or does that involve a different set of parameters?
It just doesnt make the horse go any faster. I have tried with both of the perks aswell. Needed it for the missions where you need to chase down the italians. I ended up stealing a horse with better stats and used a cheatcode to claim it as mine instead so now I have passed the mission anyway. Maybe Im doing something wrong but its a simple mod so cant see how I have messed up.
this mod doesnt work. im stuck on a mission where i have to chase someone on my horse and i keep failing because my horse is too slow. this mod did nothing to help.
The mod works fine for me so I wonder why it wouldn't work. The mod does not increase speed however, so if your horse is too slow that might be the problem with your quest.
I was testing the mod and was riding around the entire map on full speed without having to slow down.
If you're using Pebbles or Herring, you might want to ride them for 25km (Pebbles) or 50km (Herring) to get the loyalty perks to increase their stats significantly.

But the resolve will probably be increased for every horse in the game, which means that you can gallop without slowing down, but so can others.

The key is called RiderHorseStaminaCoef in the file rpg_param.xml.
"Stamina will decrease more slowly with the perks Roadrunner, Wildrider and Ride Like the Wind 1 and 2."
