Version 2.1 of the mod has been uploaded in preparation for DLC Brushes with Death.
The only change in this release is an amendment to the Lower Semine Woodcutter's Map which the Devs gave some added details to assist with locating an item. They also changed the filename of that map which I have reflected in this of the mod.
If we discover any NEW maps that were not part of the Public Beta then I will of course be updating to include them.
EDIT : there may be a new map in the DLC "Map of Archery Courses" so once we get the files I will find it and add it to the mod (unless it turns out to be just a document).
It dont work properly at 2k. I have some map from bandits camp and my Henry when trying to open map i see only my hands xD. I dont know what map is that because i have polish version of game. 1K version works fine.
There is a difference between how the 1K and 2K versions work. The 1K version is just a texture replacer but the 2K version contains a new model, new textures and a small list of edits to item.xml to point the game to the new parchment model and 2K textures.
If you are seeing Henry's hands for ALL of the maps when using the 2K version then there may be a conflict with another mod that affects the item.xml list. My mod supports PTF (Patched Table Files) so it only edits the exact records it needs. If you have another mod that is changing ALL records in item.xml then it could overwrite my mod.
If you use Vortex then you can enable the 2K version again and drag it to the bottom of the Load Order tab so that it loads last. You should then see the maps correctly. You can then move it back towards the top of the Load Order until the maps vanish again. That would tell you the mod that is replacing the whole item.xml file. You could then ask that mod's author to change their mod to PTF format.
I dont have Vortex, just KCD Mod Manager, and 2k version was last. Honestly i dont get a point which my mod can edit item.xml and right now i cant check it happen only on that one map (i started game and just learning game/places etc :D).
I will try test it later again with another map, but i'm ok with 1k. Its much better anyway than native :)
If it is just one map, it would be useful if you could show me a picture of it. I can then work out which one it is and check I have not made a spelling mistake.
Thank you - I will reenable the 2K version shortly while I clean my PC of the KCD2 Debug build that has hidden itself somewhere when I signed in to a beta branch.
The front image is 8Mb (4096x2048px DXT5 with alpha), the back surface is 2Mb (2048x1024px DXT5 with alpha) and the normal map uses 1Mb (2048x1024px DXT1 no alpha). There is only ever one map on screen at a time so the total should be around 11Mb.
Good idea - I have added a screenshot of the Kuttenberg Underground in its vanilla format. It may take a while for the Nexus to add the Image to the list.
