Every item you changed the price you severely made it cheaper. You have no idea how to set up a price, terrible modder. Also uploading the entire libs folder, rofl.
Hey @Krimmus, I love this mod, thank you for making it! I have some suggestions to perhaps make this mod even better.
0. Money is too easy to get! You can get the best armor in no time and be super strong. Maybe increase repair price? Reduce Sellprice? 1. Make bows weaker, especially against enemies with heavy armor. Make it so you can hit weak spots fx, helmet opening. 2. make Ai MUCH harder to kill but much less likely to use master strike and perfect block. I learn all these combos that I can never use cause they get interrupted 99% of the time? WHYY? 3. Make Polearm weapons equip-able and able to put into your inventory (In addition the Polearm takes up the bow slot so that you may have a sword and polearm equipped but not a bow and polearm) 4. Make 'Queen of Sheba's sword' not useless 5. Make it a little easier to hit combos, but make it so you have to use combos to defeat enemies, so it promotes their use. Combos are fun! Why does the game make them useless? 6. Make food and rest neccesary! Also make food cauldrons do nothing. Free food just sitting there? Then why should i buy food? Makes no sense. 7. ?Make it so you have to use alchemy potions and bandages more often, especially if you're outnumbered or enemy is much stronger. BUT reduce the healing properties of potions and food. 8. Remove training for money, its too easy to level up with no effort. Not rewarding or fun. 9. Make horses ridiculously expensive, price range is from 250 groschen up to 50 thousand groschens. I like that I can hoard loot BUT towards late game, I need to carry more stuff with me, potions, repair kits, food and things to help me kill very strong enemies. The more expensive horses could maybe carry more loot? 10. Make the horse trade-in system so that you only lose 10% of your old horse. Then you can progressively get better and better horse, instead of skipping to the best horse 3 hours into the game. So many horses and I only get to be happy about an upgrade 1 time? Thats no fun. 11. Give a LITTLE more carry weight, BUT make money weigh something. If you hoard gold, it should weigh you down a lot. Maybe 1 weight for 1000 groschen?
That's all I can think of for now, maybe let me know what you think and we can discuss it? Keep up the good work! :D
i love the way you nerfed the Str-related bonuses in this mod. Especially the damage increase. It makes the game unbalanced. I'm just not sure if "near 0" is an appropriate approach or too radical. Would there be the possibility for posting separate files - the price changes separated from the combat changes? This way some people will have the option to download only 1 if they want. That's an idea, thanks!
progression feels like it's a little too slow. i feel like i've done a lot of things but every one of my skills is low level. i have some money but that's because i haven't spent any of it. i'm also spending inordinate amounts of time trying to figure out what's the least valuable thing in my inventory because i'm overburdened - and in the end, i don't make s#*! for money anyway
Interesting to hear. Whats you game progress? At the point where you can fight runt i was around 9 Str (nearly zero side questing), 8 Speech, 7 Agility. (for example). After runt i was able to buy the best horse with best saddle. I wear the best armor i can carry.
"progression feels like it's a little too slow" - my intention was that you HAVE TO train with bernhard more than 2 times, you have to read book´s, you have to buy progress with training
"i'm also spending inordinate amounts of time trying to figure out what's the least valuable thing in my inventory because i'm overburdened" - CHECK. Mission complete :p
it's my first game and i'm trying to savor the experience so i haven't progressed through the main quest as much as i could have. i'm currently just under 40 hours playtime and i just reached level 7 - but this is mainly because i spam jump all the time and exhaust every single dialogue option, also i grinded herbalism to level 5 in Skalitz. "my intention was that you HAVE TO train with bernhard more than 2 times" - i have trained with Bernard for probably 4+ hours of actual playtime and at this rate, it looks like i'll have to train with him for at least 25-30 more if i want to get to a decently high level. i just don't think sinking 30-35+ hours into a training mode for a single play-through is ideal, especially for people that already know how to fight. "you have to read book´s, you have to buy progress with training" - i understand this sentiment but from where i see things, i've been planning to save the all skill books to carry me past level 12+ - simply because it takes so long to level, i can only imagine what the level 12+ grind would be. on a side note, this goes with what i was saying about slow progression, overburdened, and therefore making much less money: i've made the majority of my money through doing archery contests, mostly beginner. i've sunk probably 3-4 hours in beginner contests. BEGINNER. can you imagine how boring that is? and to top it all off, i'm still only level 3.
What does it mean, do not support dlc items? Does that mean I cant install this if I have the dlc/royal edition? Also, what are the install instructions? Thanks for your work!
Edit: Mod isnt working. Extracted files to C:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\KingdomComeDeliverance\Mods and nothing. Shop prices the same, mule 1 says it adds 15 instead of 5. What now?
C:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\KingdomComeDeliverance\Data You have the replace the original "Tables.pak" file.
I only changed the perk textes in the german one localization file. Mule 1 should add +5 like i have written in die description. I try to change them all this weekend for other languages.
This happens cause of the Localization File. I changed the textes in the german one. Mule 1 should add +5 like i have written in die description. I try to change them all this weekend.
Hi, its not needed at all. There is only one modification in it. The PerkWellWorn reduce the item weight by 15% now. I changed the description text in the German_xml. The english one ist still the same. --> Weight Recution 1/3
sorry, that was a bit confusing. what i meant was, did you design these balance changes with hardcore in-mind? i'm about to start my very first game of KCD and i don't want it to be too easy - i played a lot of Chivalry, Mount and Blade and Mordhau so combat shouldn't be too difficult, i would think.
