For every one that want this mod to work without Vortex manager but with manual installation these are steps:
after unpacking from archive, move "zzz_faithlv_dualshockbuttons.pak" file to the "mods" directory
rename it to delete any space and/or underscore from the name (should be "zzzfaithlvdualshockbuttons.pak" after)
make new folder inside "mods" and rename it to the PAK name (it should be "zzzfaithlvdualshockbuttons" but you could name it as you whish, without spaces and underscores)
make new folder inside "mods/zzzfaithlvdualshockbuttons" directory named "Data" (it should be "mods/zzzfaithlvdualshockbuttons/Data" folder)
you should have that directory structure mods/zzzfaithlvdualshockbuttons/Data/
move PAK file to the new folder, aka. to "mods/zzzfaithlvdualshockbuttons/Data"
make mod.manifest file inside "mods/zzzfaithlvdualshockbuttons" and paste this code inside<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <kcd_mod> <info> <name>DS4 Controller Buttons - tested with KCD 1.9.6</name> <description>Replaces XBOX button textures to ones found inside game files for Playstation 4 buttons.</description> <author>FaithLV</author> <version>2.0</version> <created_on>2020/02/24</created_on> </info> <supports> <kcd_version>1.9.*</kcd_version> </supports> </kcd_mod>
Works, kinda, it's lacking a manifest and thus mod conflicts might cause it to not function. Alone it works. Also does not work with Joew's Kingdom Come Mod Manager
It works with Vortex for sure. As for mod.manifest its XML file and it won't work without it. I will try to make one as I'm installing mods manually now without any managers.
Does anyone know if this mod still works? I try to change my load order yet still for some reason this mod would not work. I know it worked a few months ago but not now.
I know this is based on the game files, but I'm sure the incorrect Share/Select button and the wonky controls lines could be fixed. I'm not very familiar with the image formats this game uses, but it should just be a question of editing graphics, right?
In any case I can just ignore the Share button being incorrect, and I won't be looking at the controls once I start playing properly.
This is a handy file, thanks for making it, I'm just being a bit nitpicky is all.

Lol i was being stupid.A massive amount of people cant find your mod , because of naming.
Should have put tags for dualshock, sony , dualsense.
Game has option to choose gamepad layout, regardless of gamepad used!
Does it work with PS5 Controller?
Should I go with mod manager Vortex or Manual?
