MOD it replaces the FMOD event ID sounds of footsteps and hoofsteps to the FMOD event ID sounds of my choosing.I used walking on grass for little to zero noise when walking/running.

A Silent Assassin 2 Henry Only: A Little Louder Footsteps Over Rock ,Wood, Gravel.
A Silent Ninja Henry And Horse:: Quiet footsteps over Rock ,Wood, Water, Mud Puddles Wicker,Thatch.
A Silent Assassin Henry Only: Quiet footsteps over Rock ,Wood, Water, Mud Puddles.
Black Armor with extra stats to make up for less overall armor.Use if you want. With A Silent Ninja Henry And Horse:: Quiet footsteps over Rock ,Wood, Water, Mud Puddles Wicker,Thatch.

      EG:
So when walking on gravel/wood/rock etc is triggered ,instead of sound trigger for gravel/wood/rock etc I replaced it with trigger for walking on grass.

Black Armor with extra stats to make up for less overall armor ,you can use a dagger to stealth kill almost anything

Hi! So I feel awkward asking this but how do I " add +exec user.cfg -devmode To Launch Options or Short Cut To Game For Mods To Work Correctly"?
I checked the video tab for directions but the video is blurry so I can't read any of the text. Even when blowing up to full sized, or loading it directly in youtube didn't help :(

downloaded this mod looks cool, hit a snag though, the armor stats doesn't that it is overpowered and it actually kind of basic. Please help

Has anyone checked if +exec user.cfg actually works? I was never able to get that to work, and instead use +exec user (without the .cfg).

Thank you! I couldn't get it to work until I deleted the .cfg. If not for your post I would not have known to do that! Note: I'm using steam launch options.

Strange I always used +exec user.cfg with steam and worked fine, good to know +exec user can work also.
I would be interested if you can execute +exec user.cfg in console compared with +exec user in console and also what did not actually work with +exec user.cfg,I would be interested.

Hi, thanks for your mod..!!! its aweasome..

Now i'am just looking for the file fmod_project.tar.gz mentioned in this link http://wiki.tesnexus.com/index.php/Sound_modding_in_KCD

I am trying to make a mod, to reduce the footsteps sounds volume, do you have that fmod project file (fmod_project.tar.gz)?, or from where i can download? since the official link is no longer working.

    Thanks in advance

Followed instructions to the letter, doesn't work for me. I'm playing the latest patched version via GOG with all the DLC.

Is the armour supposed to appear automatically in the inventory, or do you have to pick it up somewhere?

Yes armor appears automatically or whatever you want to appear in inventory, that is the beauty of modding stuff.

In Steam put +exec user.cfg -devmode under launch options.
      or
Shortcut on desktop, right click on Kingdomcome.exe and at end of target line ,hit space bar for 1 space after quotation mark an add +exec user.cfg
Anyway will work,a video at the start for steam launch options

I just gave it a quick test. It's working great! But yeah, maybe it's too quiet now (don't be angry please haha) So If it's possible, could we have a less subtle version, when you have the time? It's almost completely inaudible now. I used the (only Henry version) as I don't mind the horse's hoofsteps sound.

Question: Will that affect gameplay? I mean will Henry be overpowered now if the AI won't be able to hear his steps at all?

      Thanks again!
      Cheers!

      New version up
A Silent Assassin 2 Henry Only: A Little Louder Footsteps Over Rock ,Wood, Gravel.
As far as gameplay goes, should be no change at all, unless you really want to play silent and Ninja everyone with a dagger.

Nope, exactly the opposite. I don't like to ninja people haha!
Thanks for the new version. Gonna check it ASAP.

      PS:
Out of curiosity, how did you make the footsteps louder in the updated version?

EDIT: Ok, I tested it. Well, the problem isn't the loudness in that version. It's the sound like more than one people walking. I know that a specific terrain's sound (I think it's when the road has NO stones or rocks) doesn't have that issue. I'll test it further and let you know which terrain is so that so you can replace the generic footstep sound with it.

      Cheers!

Ok, I think I have found the solution to all our problems my friend. It may sound stupid, but believe me it's not.
When you walk backwards the multi-people walking sound completely disappears. You should try it yourself. No matter the terrain, if you walk backwards Henry's footsteps sound ideal. So we don't need to tweak or change anything other than replacing the normal walking sound, with the backwards footstep's sound. If you can find that in the files and change it, it will solve all our issues.

      Cheers!

LOL It is almost impossible to figure out something in ones head.I am sure I could do that but you need to make a video with your sound settings and where you are on the map so I can replicate what you want.Otherwise I could make 1000 changes and never come close to what your hearing.
I am just wondering if your talking about the reverb of peoples footsteps on different surface and that is what is annoying.

I'm talking about the default walking sound (without any sound mods) which is like 10 people walking, but when Henry is walking backwards the sounds normal..No matter the surface. You can test it on any town's road. Just walk backwards (without any sound mods) and you'll hear that it sounds normal. Like ONE guy walking and not like a small army marching. So I'm wondering since the sounds are different (straight walking sound-backward sound). Could you please replace the default straight-walking sound with backward sound? if we can replace that in the files and have the backward sound as the default walking sound, then that would be perfect.

      Cheers!

That just it.I can not tell the difference if walking forward or backwards.I am trying to help you fucking out.I do not care about the sound of footsteps. At least you can oblige me in making a video so I can see your settings and hear the difference.

I only reinstalled the game because you asked.I did exactly what you asked and what you asked was not what you wanted.
I can make 1000 changes and not get what you want.

So my stance is if you do not provide something tangible just f*#@ off,i do not care about your obsessive-compulsive disorder.
Now that's funny .I hope you get my point.

I was not making fun of your OCD ,which I could tell you have.I said it was funny because of my overall response. That was funny to me and I am not mad or anything.Just trying to make you understand I am not guessing at what you want.

No problem buddy. I got your point, plus I'm not easily offended. I'm a 35 years old Clinical Psychologist and I'm totally aware of my OCD's ''funny'' side.
I'll try to have a video for you as soon as I'm back from vacations and have access to my gaming pc. But in case you want to check it now, I'm talking about the default sound when you walk backwards on any road. Just that, nothing complex and it's the same no matter the settings and different configs, it's the base game's sound when you walk backwards which I think will be better suited for the default walking footstep sound since it's more ''normal''.

Thanks again for your help and mods.
      Cheers!
